Introducing the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate collection by First Fence, meticulously designed to complement both the aesthetics and safety standards of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing series. These gates and railing panel kits embody a blend of practicality and design, aligning perfectly with the expectations set by First Fence.
When selecting items for play areas, careful consideration must be given to various factors. The product's height should be chosen appropriately to discourage easy climbing by younger children. Vertical railings need to be closely spaced to prevent a child's head from potential entrapment while ensuring visibility. Smooth surfaces are essential to prevent cuts or scrapes, and the product should steer clear of sharp edges or protruding elements that may pose injury risks. Laser-cut, tailor-made, pre-galvanised components establish robust connections during assembly, reducing the need for energy-intensive welding. The resultant pressed connections showcase a strength comparable to that of their welded equivalents.
Crafted from quality pre-galvanised steel adhering to BS 10346 standards, enhanced with polyester powder coating in standard or non-standard RAL colours, this product is engineered to withstand permanent outdoor installation, enduring various weather conditions.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
EnviroRail® Gates stand out due to their versatility and straightforward installation. The modular, lightweight design and adaptable handedness offer exceptional flexibility on-site, eliminating constraints associated with fixed left or right-hand leaf orientations and easily facilitating the integration of a range of gate hardware. The modular functionality allows for adjustments in case the gates move, providing adaptability that fixed hardware cannot match.
The single leaf gate kit includes a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges adhering to BS 12604 standards, safety is maintained, even in the rare event of a hinge failure. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post for added security, with fixed-axis hinges providing stability.
Pre-drilled holes simplify the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, accompanied by plastic plugs to discreetly cover any unused holes on the gate attack face. The gate seamlessly integrates with security locks, offering an adjustment of up to 30mm from the catch post for a straightforward installation process. When properly installed, the gate ensures a 50mm ground clearance and opens at a 90° angle as a single leaf gate.
Standing at a height of 2.4m, this gate is the tallest available in this range. It is also available in a double leaf format for added flexibility in access control. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
Safety Compliance
Rails set at 100mm centres prevent entrapment, and top bows at 90mm prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate adhere to BS EN 1176 regulations.
Available in various heights and widths, these gates are offered in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for most kinds of ground substance. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix must be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
