Vertical railings must be closely spaced to prevent a child's head from potential entrapment while ensuring optimal visibility. A notable aspect of the EnviroRail® Gates lies in their manufacturing process. Utilising a low-weld approach, this environmentally conscious system outperforms comparable products in the market. Laser-cut, tailor-made pre-galvanised components establish strong connections during assembly, reducing the need for energy-intensive welding. The resulting pressed connections demonstrate a level of robustness equivalent to their welded counterparts.
Crafted from premium pre-galvanised steel compliant with BS 10346 standards and enhanced with polyester powder coating, offered in both standard and non-standard RAL colours, these gates are designed to endure outdoor installation and withstand various weather conditions.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
What distinguishes EnviroRail® Gates is their versatility and straightforward installation. The modular, lightweight design and adaptable handedness offer exceptional flexibility on-site, eliminating constraints associated with fixed left or right-hand leaf orientations, and easy accommodation of a range of gate hardware. The modular functionality allows for adjustments in case the gates move, providing adaptability that fixed hardware cannot match.
The single leaf gate kit comprises a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges adhering to BS 12604 standards, safety is upheld, even in the rare event of a hinge failure. The fully welded gate hooks add an additional layer of security by establishing fixed-axis hinges with no vertical movement.
Pre-drilled holes facilitate the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, with accompanying plastic plugs to discreetly cover any unused holes on the gate attack face. The gate is engineered to seamlessly integrate with our security locks, offering an adjustment of up to 30mm from the catch post for a straightforward installation process. When properly installed, the gate ensures a 50mm ground clearance and opens at a 90° angle as a single leaf gate. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
Safety Compliance
Rails set at 100mm centres prevent entrapment, and top bows at 90mm prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate adhere to BS EN 1176 regulations.
Available in various heights and widths, these gates are offered in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix must be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
