Ensuring close spacing of vertical railings is crucial to prevent a child's head from getting trapped while maintaining excellent visibility. Smooth surfaces are necessary to avoid cuts or scrapes, and the product must lack sharp edges or protrusions that might create injury risks. Moreover, durability, weather resistance, and low-maintenance characteristics are essential for outdoor conditions, demonstrating a dedicated adherence to safety standards.

Crafted with precision, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate employs an innovative, environmentally conscious technique, thereby reducing the ecological impact during production. The process involves pressing together laser-cut components, creating robust bonds that substantially decrease the necessity for energy-intensive welding. The resulting pressed bonds demonstrate a level of sturdiness comparable to their welded counterparts.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Constructed from pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and coated with polyester powder, each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit ensures durability and resilience against harsh outdoor elements. This dual-layer protection guarantees dependable functionality while preserving aesthetic appeal over the years.

EnviroRail® Gates are celebrated for their versatility and hassle-free installation. The modular, lightweight design and adaptable handedness provide exceptional flexibility on-site, eliminating constraints associated with fixed left or right-hand leaf orientations. This modular functionality allows adjustments, offering adaptability that fixed hardware cannot match.

The single leaf gate kit comprises a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Three hinges ensure BS 12604 compliance, ensuring safety even if one hinge were to fail. Fully welded gate hooks provide an additional layer of security, establishing fixed-axis hinges with no up and down movement.

Pre-drilled holes facilitate the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, with included plastic plugs to cover unused holes on the gate attack face. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, ensuring straightforward installation. The gate offers a 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening at a 90° angle as a single leaf gate. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Safety Compliance

Rails set at 100mm centres prevent entrapment, and top bows at 90mm prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate adhere to BS EN 1176 regulations.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates are offered in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix must be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
