Bow Top railings and gates embody timeless elegance defined by a unique curved design atop the rail line. Originating in the 19th century, these designs were primarily used to enclose gardens, parks, and residential areas, offering a subtle yet effective barrier. Initially crafted from wrought iron, they have evolved to incorporate materials like steel or aluminium, chosen for their durability and easy upkeep. They are still a very popular design infusing style with security.

Features and Benefits

The EnviroRail® Bow Top Double Leaf Gate Kit, measuring 1.5m in height and 6.0m in width, provides exceptional access control flexibility. It allows operation of one or both leaves in open or closed positions.

This gate kit stands out from standard bow top products due to its environmentally conscious manufacturing process. Employing a low-weld technique, it utilises custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised elements that create sturdy connections upon assembly. This innovative approach significantly reduces reliance on energy and resource-intensive welding. For those concerned about environmental impact, this is an ideal choice.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The EnviroRail® Double Gates offer a fully modular and relatively lightweight solution, enabling swift installation for diverse hardware requirements. Universally handed, they provide on-site flexibility without fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular functionality gives adjustability in case the gates move, which fixed hardware doesn't give.

Each gate comes pre-drilled, simplifying the attachment of six adjustable hinges and a drop bolt. Plastic hole plugs are included to cover any unused holes on the visible side. A separate locking drop bolt is available for purchase and is recommended for the double leaf gate.

The kit comprises two EnviroRail® gate leaves, two gate posts, and six adjustable gate eyes (three for each leaf), meeting BS 12604 safety guidelines to ensure stability, even if one hinge fails. Furthermore, the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, these are fixed axis hinges with no up or down movement. The gates have 50mm ground clearance. The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Available in various heights and widths, our gate kits are offered in dig-in and bolt-down versions, suitable for installation in different environments. The dig-in variant suits softer terrains like grass and soil, requiring Post Mix for secure installation. Meanwhile, the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces such as concrete, using eight M16 x 125mm anchor bolts that can be included in your order.
