Specifically designed to prioritise child safety, this railing range also contributes to enhancing the overall look and feel of the environment.

When choosing products for play areas, considerations differ from standard perimeter layouts. The product's height must be adequate to prevent easy scaling or squeezing through by children. Vertical railings need to be closely spaced to prevent a child's head from getting stuck while maintaining optimal visibility. Smooth surfaces are crucial to prevent cuts or scrapes, and the product should be entirely devoid of sharp edges or protruding elements that could cause injury. Additionally, the product's durability, weather resistance, and low-maintenance features are essential to withstand outdoor conditions, all while ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards.

Introducing the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate – a recent addition meticulously designed to seamlessly integrate with the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing range.

Although it may initially appear as a standard product, this gate stands out through its innovative and eco-friendly low-weld construction method. The utilisation of a set of custom, interlocking laser-cut parts, pressed together to form robust bonds, distinguishes it in the market. This technique minimises the need for energy-intensive welding while maintaining the same durability as traditionally welded equivalents.

Every EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate Kit is meticulously crafted from quality pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and coated with polyester powder, ensuring longevity and resilience against harsh outdoor conditions. The dual-layer protection not only guarantees reliable functionality but also preserves its aesthetic appeal over many years. A variety of RAL colours are available to provide a vibrant, fun, and sleek finish.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The EnviroRail® gate range presents an advanced, fully modular yet lightweight gate solution that enables swift fitting and accommodates various gate hardware. Universally handed, these gates offer on-site flexibility without fixed right or left-hand specifications, simplifying the decision-making process during installation. This modularity facilitates easy adjustments in case the gates move, providing adaptability that fixed hardware cannot offer.

The single-leaf gate kit comprises a hinge and catch post, a single Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Three hinges ensure BS 12604 compliance, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, create a fixed-axis hinge, eliminating any up and down movement.

Pre-drilled holes make it easy to attach gate eyes and a drop bolt, with provided plastic plugs to cover any unused holes on the gate's attack face. The gate, compatible with our security locks, offers a 30mm adjustment capability from the catch post, ensuring a straightforward installation process.

Safety Compliance

The gate rails are set at 100mm centres to prevent entrapment, and the top bows are 90mm to prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.

The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
