These gate kits, available in various heights and widths as single or double leaf options, provide a secure entry and exit point for play areas while also enhancing the overall aesthetics of the space, emphasising the utmost importance of child safety.

Features and Benefits

The EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Double Leaf Gate Kit, measuring 0.9m in height and 4.0m in width, offers flexible access control. Despite being shorter, it excels in providing greater entry control with the option of operating one or both leaves. It is advisable to include a locking drop bolt with the double leaf format, available as an additional purchase option.

The EnviroRail® Double Gates offer a fully modular and relatively lightweight gate solution, ensuring easy installation for various hardware requirements. With universal handing, they provide on-site flexibility, eliminating fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular design enables easy adjustments in the event of gate shifts, offering a degree of flexibility that fixed hardware cannot provide.

Manufactured using an environmentally conscious technique, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit distinguishes itself from standard railings, making it the preferred choice for customers with a preference for reduced eco-impact during production. This innovative approach utilises bespoke, laser-cut components pressed together to form robust bonds, significantly reducing the need for energy-intensive welding.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is crafted from pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and coated with polyester powder for durability, ensuring resilience against harsh outdoor elements. This double-layered protection guarantees years of reliable functionality while preserving its aesthetic appeal.

The double leaf gate kit includes two hinge posts, two Play Sec Railing leaves, and six adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges per leaf, the gate remains compliant with BS 12604, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of a hinge failure. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, providing a fixed-axis hinge that eliminates vertical movement.

Pre-drilled holes simplify the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, accompanied by plastic plugs to cover unused holes on the gate attack face, ensuring a finished look and preventing water accumulation. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, facilitating an easy installation process.

Safety Compliance

The gate rails set at 100mm centres prevent entrapment, and the top bows of 90mm prevent wrist or neck trapping. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate fully comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.

The gate provides a 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, with the gate opening 90° in and out.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in a dig-in or bolt-down version, suitable for diverse environments. The dig-in variant requires the addition of Post Mix to the order, while the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
