Flat Top Railing Gates, which are alternatively known as flat handrails or flat bar railings in the industry, provide a modern gate and railing solution suitable for many kinds of locations. At first glance, the EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Gate may seem like a typical product, but what sets it apart in the market is its eco-conscious production method. The EnviroRail® system employs a low-weld approach, utilising custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised parts that interlock securely during assembly. This significantly reduces the need for energy-demanding welding processes, appealing to customers who prioritise environmentally friendly manufacturing practices. The 0.9m high x 4.0m wide EnviroRail® Flat Top Double Leaf Gate is the shortest option in this range, ideal for entrances to homes, gardens, or driveways, especially in urban settings where a lower profile may be preferred for aesthetic reasons. These double leaf gates offer greater flexibility, allowing you to choose to have one or both leaves open (or closed), providing total access control.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
Constructed from pre-galvanised steel conforming to BS 10346 standards and polyester powder coated, these gates have a double layer of protection, ensuring resilience to outdoor exposure and wear and tear. Properly installed, they are designed to provide many years of reliable use.
EnviroRail® Gates are a fully modular, ultra-lightweight system with quick and easy installation. They are universally handed, eliminating the need for fixed left or right-hand specifications, providing flexibility on-site. The modular functionality allows for more adjustability, accommodating gate movement, a feature lacking in traditional, fixed gate hardware.
The gate kit includes two EnviroRail® gate leaves, two hinge posts and six adjustable gate eyes, meeting BS 12604 safety guidelines to ensure stability even in the unlikely event of a hinge failure. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, providing fixed axis hinges to eliminate vertical movement.
Each gate comes with pre-drilled holes for swift attachment of the adjustable gate eyes and a drop bolt. Plastic hole plugs are included to cover any unused holes, preventing water accumulation and enhancing the gate's appearance. A locking drop bolt, available as an add-on purchase, is highly recommended for the double leaf format.
Designed for versatility, the EnviroRail® Flat Top Gate Kit is available in an extensive range of heights and widths, making it suitable for various needs. The gate kits come in dig-in and bolt-down versions, catering to installation in diverse locations. The dig in version will need Post Mix adding to your order and the bolt down will need four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
When correctly installed, the gate allows up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, with a 50mm ground clearance.

The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation. The modularity of this gate range makes it compatible with all of our digital locking systems. Enhance security with an anti-climb Locking Plate and a heavy-duty padlock.
