When the size of a construction means working at height there are many risks to consider, and the health and safety of workers must be a priority.

At ground level, a worker must be kept secure from any work at higher levels. Labouring at height means the worker is at risk of a fatal fall, in addition, construction debris needs to be kept secure; a tool or piece of building material falling can cause a fatal injury to someone below.

This edge protector is installed on the perimeter of an above ground construction project, and the barrier includes a framed mesh unit with a toe board at the bottom. This gives a good level of confinement and will give the worker a feeling of safety. They are regarded as simple to install as they don’t require specialist skills.

These barriers are seen as an alternative safety system for a challenging environment, combining strength and durability with ease of installation. They are relatively lightweight making it easy to transport where needed.

The edge protection barrier measures 1000m height x 1300mm width and is constructed from galvanised steel. This barrier is fully framed and comes as standard with PPC in RAL 5015. Galvanising gives the barrier a layer of protection from damage caused by weathering and corrosion. The PPC gives a further level of defence and adds a very professional and sleek look to the site. The frame adds to the strength of the product and gives a lovely, polished finish to the barrier system when in place.
