CFS/K-110 - Extra Heavy Duty Load Bearing Cavity Wall Lintel

This extra heavy-duty load-bearing lintel has been designed for use with cavity widths between 110mm and 125mm. It can bear extremely heavy weights over gaps in walls of various widths, such as for doors and windows. This lintel has an outer leaf with a width of 95mm and can support bricks with a maximum width of 102mm (95mm + 7mm overhang). The inner leaf has a width of 100mm and can support blocks of the same width.

The CFS/K-110 extra heavy-duty lintels are available in 150mm increments, starting from 750mm up to 4800mm, which allows for load-bearing over a wide range of gap sizes. 
Please note: The lintel width will require an extra 150mm end bearing on each end of the lintel. For example, if the gap that needs to be bridged is 1800mm, then an extra 300mm will need to be added to the overall lintel length.

This range of heavy-duty load-bearing lintels has been made from high-quality pre-galvanised mild steel and satisfies the thermal performance requirements of:

• England and Wales’ Part L of the building regulations
• Northern Ireland’s Part F
• Scotland’s technical handbook, section 6

For this lintel to support the loads specified in the table below, the lintel will need to be installed correctly.

The figures also take into account the different loading types which are common in traditional cavity wall construction. These figures have been acquired through testing in accordance with the requirements of standards BS 5977 Part 2: 1983 and BS EN 845-2:2003
