SR1 (A1) Fencing System
The SR1 (A1) fencing system is a security fencing system that has been tested and certified to provide a level of protection against opportunistic attacks. The system is designed to delay an intruder for at least 60 seconds, giving time for a security response to be initiated.
The SR1 test is devised by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and carried out by the BRE. The test involves several different attacks, using a variety of tools from ‘Took Kit A’. The fencing system must successfully resist each of these attacks for at least 60 seconds to meet the performance criteria.
The SR1 rating is the equivalent of the LPS 1175 A1 rating. The SR1 (A1) rating is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as schools, hospitals, and commercial premises.
