Open Box Beam 4.8m - Black
The Open Box Beams offer high levels of visibility and have been specifically designed for use in extremely high-risk areas, such as delivery bays and are ideal for a slow to medium speed of traffic. When combined with our 760mm bolt down RSJ Post, these beams are able to occupy a number of heavy goods vehicles.
Manufactured from high quality galvanised steel which provides the beams with a long lifespan with no to very little maintenance required after installation.
As well as a galvanised finish, this particular 4.8m Open Box Beam is offered with a polyester powder coated (PPC) finish, not only does this give the beam an added layer of protection and resistance against damaging effects caused by weathering and vandalism but offers a sleek and aesthetically pleasing look.

Using the Open Box System
Although this beam uses a similar technology to the standard Armco system, it does differ slightly. Fishplates are used to join the beams together via lapbolts; you only need to use 6 lapbolts per intersection, instead of 8.
