Bambura® End Joining Clip 100 Pack
An end joining clip is a specialised fastener used to secure the ends of two deck boards that meet end-to-end over a single joist. This connection is often called a butt joint or butt seam. It is an important component because wood plastic composite deck boards, due to their tendency to expand and contract lengthwise with temperature changes, require specific support and gapping at this seam to prevent lifting, twisting or separating. A standard joining clip joins the side of one board to the side of the next over the joist; an end joining clip is designed specifically to stabilise and secure the two end cuts of different boards.
Key Functions & Characteristics
- Securing Butt Joints: The primary purpose is to fasten the abutted ends of two separate deck boards to the same joist. This is necessary when the deck boards are shorter than the deck's length, requiring two boards to be joined.
