Apollo® Twin Mesh Security Gates
The Apollo® 868 Twin Mesh Security Gates are a strong, safe and reliable modular gate system that is ideal for both vehicle and pedestrian use. Designed to make installation and customisation quick and simple, these gates are ideal for a range of locations and purposes, including use on school grounds, surrounding industrial sites or for use in public spaces such as parks.
Made from High Quality Steel with a Professional Finish
Manufactured from high-quality pre-galvanised steel, finished with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating. These coatings are available in a range of colours and provide a layer of protection against the damaging effects of corrosion and rust, keeping your gate looking great and remaining functional for many years to come.
The gate frame features a mitred edge design, helping to increase the strength of the gate frame whilst also eliminating sharp corners, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
868 Mesh Infill for Strength & Visibility
Each of these Apollo® steel mesh security gates features an 868 mesh infill. Also known as twin mesh, 868 mesh comprises of two 8mm thick horizontal wires with a 6mm thick wire running vertically in between them. This combination of wires offers a high level of strength against opportunistic attacks, whilst the spacing between the wires offers a great level of visibility for additional security systems such as CCTV. The spacing of the wires also acts as a deterrent against trespassers attempting to gain access to your site, as it is too narrow to act as sufficient hand and foot holds.
A Universally Handed Modular System for Easy Installation
Thanks to their centrally welded design, the Apollo® range of 868 mesh security gates features universally handed gate leafs, allowing them to be hung from either the left or the right-hand side.
As standard, each of the Apollo® security gates is supplied with a lockable slider kit which can be secured with the use of a heavy duty padlock. These slider systems can be upgraded during installation or at a later date with a Gatemaster lock system quickly and easily with the modular design of the Apollo gate, preventing the need to remove the gate leaf.
Pre-drilled holes allow for additional accessories, such as the 4mm gate restrainer, to be added quickly and easily to your Apollo® gate. The addition of the 4mm gate restrainer allows these mesh security gates to meet the DHF BS 12604 safety guidance recommendations in keeping the gate leaf within 300mm of its vertical axis in the unlikely event of top hinge failure. Please note: the Apollo gates with a triple hinge design are compliant to DHF BS 12604 standards without the need to add a gate restrainer.
For any of the pre-drilled holes that are not in use, inserts are included to prevent water and debris from entering the gate frame or posts.
Suitable for Installation on a Range of Ground Types
The Apollo® twin mesh steel security gates can be ordered with either dig-in or bolt-down posts to suit the ground type of your site.
- Bolt down posts: Ideal for hard surfaces such as concrete, these posts require 4 M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
- Dig-in posts: These are ideal for surfaces where holes can be dug and filled in with post mix to hold each post securely in place. (Please note that the quantities of post mix required can vary – please see the recommended quantities when ordering)
