This gate is a full privacy format that has a solid, diagonal infill and a flat top. Its clean lines and unfussy yet modern look will be a beneficial addition to any home security plan as it will offer a line of defence from intruders yet give your property some stunning kerb appeal.

It is made from aluminium, which has natural rust-inhibiting properties and is very durable yet also lightweight. A gate made from aluminium will be easy to install and to operate too. As a gate is permanently sited outdoors, it is vulnerable to the damaging effects of the weather and changing temperatures. Aluminium can withstand this onslaught very well when compared with other more traditional gate materials such as wrought iron, stainless steel and wood. It is also well suited to the saline atmosphere of the coastal regions, as it is not so susceptible to salt corrosion as other metals, so is ideal if you live by the sea and need a gate.

This gate model is 900mm wide and is available in 1.6m, 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.2m heights. Included with the gate are 2 wall-mounted and 1 floor-mounted hinges, 1 lock and handle set, and a full-length lock keep. Gate posts are only needed if you have nothing to attach the gate to.

The aluminium gates come with a polyester powder coating in black or grey as standard, but non-standard colours are available too, so please get in touch to discuss the options. Polyester Powder Coating gives the gates a very high-level finish, but also acts to protect them, helping them withstand the wear of daily use as it doesn't chip as readily as regular paint.

These gates are an eco-friendly choice as aluminium is a recyclable material, and they are very easy to maintain; they just need to be washed down with water and detergent. They come with a five-year manufacturer's guarantee from Ready Made Gates.

Please Note: The gates only open 1 way, 90 degrees inwards from outside. They can be made to open outwards, but this needs to be specified at the time of ordering. Please contact us for more information.
