A Pedestrian or Garden Gate is an important aspect of home security, particularly if you have an entry way to the side of your house. These areas are often where an intruder will try to gain access to a property as many people neglect to gate this area and they are often badly lit too. This particular model is a full privacy style that will act as an effective barrier to the side or rear of your property, but will also look good while it is doing its job.
Made from lightweight aluminium, the gate is sturdy and hard-wearing and will resist the ravages of the sometimes harsh UK weather. Aluminium has an innate rust inhibition property, which makes it such a useful material for gates and other items that are sited outdoors. It is also able to withstand the damage of salt corrosion, and so a gate of aluminium is suited to most areas of the UK, including the coast.
This gate is 1000mm wide and comes in the following heights: 1.6m, 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.2m. Included with the gate are 2 wall-mounted and 1 floor-mounted hinges, 1 lock and handle set, and a full-length lock keep. Gate posts are only needed if you have nothing to attach the gate to.
All gates in this range come in polyester powder-coated in either black or grey. This coating gives a protective layer and helps the gate to deal with everyday damage, as it doesn't chip as easily as regular paint coverings. Also, they are very easy to maintain; they just need washing down with soapy water to keep their superb looks.
The gates come with a five-year manufacturer's guarantee from Ready Made Gates.
Please Note: The gates only open 1 way, 90 degrees inwards from outside. They can be made to open outwards, but this needs to be specified at the time of ordering. Please contact us for more information.
