Aluminium Flanged Gate Post For Driveway Gates 150mm x 150mm x 3.5mm - 2400mm
Designed to match the Aluminium Double Swing Driveway Gate, this Aluminium Flanged Gate Post is manufactured from the same light weight material, which is both strong and durable, and it enables the gates to fit into any gap.
The post is 2400mm in length, its box section is 150 x 150mm and has a wall thickness of 3.5mm. It is described as a flanged post and has a base plate or rim that you can bolt it down with. This flange can be cut off or left intact and the post dug into softer ground with post mix. There is great flexibility with this post, you can use it with various ground substances with confidence.
Aluminium is innately resistant to rust making it an ideal manufacturing material for products that are in outdoor use. When it meets with air aluminium oxide is formed and this creates a rust-retardant barrier. Also, these posts come with a Polyester Powder Coating as standard (black or grey) which will add a further barrier to corrosion but also gives them a very sleek look and help them blend perfectly with your gate. They are designed to match the gates and can be used as stand alone posts to support the gates if there is no walling to be attached to, or to fill a gap between a wall and the gate. They are only necessary if there is nothing to fit to. If the gate is going between two walls, for example, there would be no need for the posts.
This post comes with the necessary bolts to fasten it to hard ground. Post caps will be required as the post is hollow, and they are available as a separate purchase from First Fence.
Please Note: The posts are supplied with base plates which can be bolted down with M10 x 75mm Ground Anchors, however, if installing on softer ground, the base plate can be cut off or concreted in, meaning the posts can be used as both bolt down and dig in.
