Aluminium Flanged Gate Post For Driveway Gates 150mm x 150mm x 5mm - 3000mm
This 3.0m Aluminium Flanged Gate Post has been designed to be used with the Aluminium Double Swing Driveway Gate that is available from First Fence.
Manufactured from the same light weight but sturdy material as the gates, it measures 3000mm in length, has a box section of 150mm x 150mm and wall dimensions of 5mm which make this a heavy-duty gate post.
At the bottom of the post there is a base plate that will allow you to fix it securely to hard ground substances such as concrete. This base plate can be cut off and the post then be dug into a softer ground, making this is a very versatile gate post.
Aluminium has a natural resistance to rust which makes it a perfect material for products that are in permanent use out of doors. It is suited to a saline environment meaning it is useful if you live near the coast as salty sea air is a well-known corrosion agent.
The Aluminium Flanged Gate Posts are designed to match the gates and can be used as stand alone posts to support the gates if there is no walling to be attached to, or to fill a gap between a wall and the gate. They are only necessary if there is nothing to fit to. If the gate is going between two walls, for example, there would be no need for the posts.
Each post has a powder coating in black or grey as standard, this will help protect it from the damaging effects of adverse whether and general wear and tear, it also makes it look very stylish and elegant. Other colours are available, please get in touch for details.
The post comes with the bolts required to fix it to hard ground, and post caps are available to buy separately. These are recommended as the post is hollow.
Please Note: The posts are supplied with base plates which can be bolted down with M10 x 75mm Ground Anchors, however, if installing on softer ground, the base plate can be cut off or concreted in, meaning the posts can be used as both bolt down and dig in.
