Aluminium Flanged Gate Post For Driveway Gates 150mm x 150mm x 3.5mm - 3000mm
The Aluminium Flanged Gate Post is designed to match the Aluminium Double Swing Driveway Gate available from First Fence and is manufactured from the same robust material.
It is 3000mm in length with a box section of 150mm x 150mm and a wall width of 3.5mm, it allows the gates to be versatile and fill any space.
At the base there is a flange or base plate that allows the post to be bolted down to hard ground. The base plate can be cut off or left in place and the post dug into softer ground with post mix.
Aluminium is a great material for a product that is in continual outdoor use as it has natural rust-resistance, so it is ideal for the UK! Aluminium gets stronger in lower temperatures too and is suited to saline environments so if you live by the coast, it is perfect.
The Aluminium Flanged Gate Posts are designed to match the aluminium driveway gates from Ready Made Gates, and can be used as stand alone posts to support the gates if there is no walling to be attached to, or to fill a gap between a wall and the gate. They are only necessary if there is nothing to fit to. If the gate is going between two walls, for example, there would be no need for the posts.
Each gate post is powder coated black or grey as standard, however other colours are available so contact us for details. Powder coating provides a layer of defence against the elements or other damage, but it also makes the gate look very sleek and stylish and will enhance the look of your property.
The post comes with the bolts required to fix it to hard ground, and post caps are available to buy separately. These are recommended as the post is hollow.
Please Note: The posts are supplied with base plates which can be bolted down with M10 x 75mm Ground Anchors, however, if installing on softer ground, the base plate can be cut off or concreted in, meaning the posts can be used as both bolt down and dig in.
