Aluminium Flanged Gate Post For Driveway Gates 100mm x 100mm x 3.5mm - 2400mm
This Aluminium Flanged Gate Post is designed to match the aluminium double swing gate available from First Fence. It allows the gates to be very versatile and fit into any space.
Manufactured from light weight and very robust aluminium the post is 2400mm in length, has a box section of 100 x 100mm and a wall dimension of 3.5mm. The base is flanged (it has a projecting ridge or collar) and can be bolted down to solid ground substance or it can be cut off and buried or concreted into softer ground.
Aluminium is naturally corrosion-resistant as aluminium oxide, which is formed when it meets the air, creates a rust-retardant shield which makes these products ideally suited to the UK market with its changeable weather conditions. An interesting fact is that aluminium gets stronger in lower temperatures, perfect for an outdoor product in this country!
They are designed to match the gates and can be used as stand alone posts to support the gates if there is no walling to be attached to, or to fill a gap between a wall and the gate. They are only necessary if there is nothing to fit to. If the gate is going between two walls, for example, there would be no need for the posts.
Each Aluminium Flanged Gate Post is Polyester Powder Coated in black or grey as standard. This coating gives a substantial layer of protection and will help allay damage from wear and tear or adverse weather.
This post comes with the necessary bolts to fasten it to hard ground. Post caps are required as the post is hollow.
Please Note: The posts are supplied with base plates which can be bolted down with M10 x 75mm Ground Anchors, however, if installing on softer ground, the base plate can be cut off or concreted in, meaning the posts can be used as both bolt down and dig in.
