When you have a driveway you can opt to leave it open or install a gate to it. Some people feel that a gate shuts the world off, yet others like to have control over who can access their property and enjoy the sense of seclusion and privacy a gate gives them. This gate will give you the advantages of both, as it has a much larger section that is only partly infilled meaning there is much more visibility through it, yet it still acts as a barrier but without the intimidating feel of a solid infill gate.
This Aluminium Driveway Gate has a double leaf with a solid, vertical infill to the lower section and a partial infill to the upper. The upper edge has a gentle, bell-curved shape that softens the top line and makes it easy on the eye. The gate is constructed from a light weight material that is highly resistant to rust and other corrosive action making it ideal for the UK with its harsh, changeable and often cold and wet weather. It is an eco-friendly product as aluminium is recyclable, and also it is low maintenance, requiring a wash down with soap and water to keep it looking as good as new.
The Double Swing Driveway Gate is available in 1.6m, 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.2m heights and is polyester powder coated to give it a superb finish and to offer protection from damage and weather-related issues. It comes in black or grey as standard, but non-standard colours are available, please get in touch to discuss the options.
To install, the gate includes 4 wall-mounted and 2 floor-mounted hinges. When taking your measurements you will need to allow 50mm extra for the hinges. A selection of matching gate posts are available and are recommended if there is nothing to fix the gate to and can be added as an additional purchase. The lock and handle for the gate can be purchased as an add on for an additional price and it will be fitted to the gate before delivery.
The aluminium gates come with a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee (Ready Made Gates).
