Aluminium Double Swing Driveway Gate 3.25m Wide With Larger Partial Privacy Section
This gate has a larger partial privacy section than the other designs in the Ready Made Gate range and this allows much greater visibility through it, which some people find a useful feature. It has a vertical infill in the lower section of each leaf and a gentle curve to the top edge and is a very elegant design that will work with both modern and more traditional style houses.
Aluminium is a very versatile material, it is strong and of light weight and has a natural resistance to rust and other corrosions which make it the perfect gate material for use in the UK with its often harsh, cold and wet weather. Traditional gate materials such as wrought iron and wood are also heavy, an aluminium gate being much lighter in weight will be simpler to install and operate. Interestingly, aluminium becomes stronger in lower temperatures, again making it ideal for the UK buyer!
The gates come in these heights: 1.6m, 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.2m and they have a polyester powder coating which not only gives them a very sleek and attractive look, but it adds some protection from damage and weathering. If you wanted a non-standard colour, there are other choices so please get in touch to discuss the options.
The gate includes 4 wall-mounted and 2 floor-mounted hinges, you will need to allow an extra 50mm for these when you are measuring up. Matching gate posts are available and are recommended if there is nothing to attach the gate to. The lock and handle for the gate can be purchased as an add on for an additional price and it will be fitted to the gate before delivery.
