This range of high visibility and heavy-duty polyethylene Grit or Salt bins come in many sizes. They are fabricated from prime UV stabilised polyethylene and specifically designed to hold grit or salt for use during times when road and path surface might freeze. The plastic they are made from is very sturdy and hard-wearing which makes the grit bins a very solid, dependable product that has protection from corrosion, is weather-proof and resistant to harsh conditions and temperatures. The UV stabilised polyethylene prevents the grit bin from fading, cracking or breaking down due to the action of the UV rays of the sun.
These grit bins are designed to be stackable enabling easy transportation or storage. The lids are double-skinned to give rigidity and strength and create a waterproof seal to ensure the grit inside stays in optimum usable condition. The lids are fully-hinged to the base section and have a full length hinge rod that ensure there are no weaknesses on the joint area.
The shape of the bin allows grit to be removed with ease and sit solidly in position on a roadside, car park or private premises and not infringe the walkway.
This Grit Bin measures 1085mm in length, 500mm in width and 850mm in depth and has a capacity of 340kg or 12 cubic foot.
To make sure that this is kept clean we would suggest maintaining the item regularly by cleaning with warm soapy water and a cloth.
