The 2.0m High x 2.0m Wide AcoustiGuard® SR1 (A1) Gate Kit delivers certified security and proven acoustic performance in one complete solution. Designed for critical infrastructure, utilities, commercial zones and any environment where physical security must be combined with environmental noise control, this gate offers robust performance while maintaining visual continuity with timber-faced acoustic fencing systems.
Manufactured to exacting standards and independently certified to LPS 1175 SR1 (A1), this gate has also been tested and proven to comply with BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2, making it ideal for noise-sensitive and security-critical projects alike.
This gate is fully compatible with 2.0m High AcoustiGuard® acoustic fencing, ensuring a seamless, certified perimeter that maintains both security and noise control.
The AcoustiGuard® range has been purpose-built to meet the requirements of LPS 1175 Issue 8, Security Rating 1 (A1). This rating certifies the gate's ability to withstand opportunistic attacks using tools defined in Toolset A—typically screwdrivers, spanners, pliers and similar low-level implements.
To achieve this rating, the gate includes reinforced hinge posts, fully welded steel construction, and tamper-resistant shear nut fixings. The gate leaf is mounted using SR1-certified security hinges, providing protection against removal or mechanical tampering. Supplied fully assembled for lifting, the product ensures efficient on-site handling while reducing installation errors.
This 2.0m wide access point can be installed as part of a continuous LPS-certified acoustic perimeter or as a secure, standalone gate. Either way, the full integrity of the LPS 1175 boundary is maintained—making it suitable for use in schools, substations, transport hubs, and data-sensitive commercial premises.
AcoustiGuard® gates are engineered to provide dual-purpose protection—physical security and acoustic attenuation. This gate is fully tested to BS EN 1794-1 (mechanical and structural performance) and BS EN 1794-2 (noise reduction capabilities), aligning it with Department for Transport specifications for roadside and railway acoustic barriers.
The outer face of the gate is clad with UC4 tanalised acoustic timber, which reduces noise from passing traffic, machinery, or high-activity zones. This timber cladding is mounted to a galvanised steel frame, forming a resilient and long-lasting barrier to both sound and intrusion.
When used in conjunction with acoustic fencing of the same height and design, the gate maintains continuous sound attenuation performance across the full length of a boundary line.
Built with a hot dip galvanised steel frame in accordance with ISO 1461, the gate is corrosion-resistant and capable of long-term use in demanding environments. The 2.0m wide gate is supported by reinforced 120x120x4mm hinge posts and a 100x100x3mm catch post, ensuring maximum strength against forced attack or distortion.
Its galvanised finish provides excellent weather resistance and can be overpainted on-site if required. This model is supplied in galvanised only as standard, supporting minimal maintenance and long service life.
The gate is right-hand hung when viewed from the secure side looking outward. A 50mm ground clearance is maintained to allow for free gate movement over level or slightly uneven surfaces.
All gates are manufactured with precision tolerances and delivered with SR1-compliant security hardware including hinges, slider systems, cleats, and shear nut fixings.
This gate must be installed using a concreted foundation method, following the official installation guidance and foundation detail drawings provided with your gate kit. The specified post sections must not be substituted or altered to maintain full certification status under LPS 1175.
Concrete-in installation enhances the structural integrity of the gate system and ensures compliance with all physical security testing conditions. No bolt-down alternatives are approved or suitable for this gate type.
This 2.0m x 2.0m AcoustiGuard® gate is widely specified for use in:
Whether installed as a secure entrance point or part of a wider acoustic fence run, the gate retains both its LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) rating and acoustic capabilities when installed according to specification.
