Please note that we do not recommend bolting down our Acoustic Fencing. To ensure the most secure installation, we advise digging in to help meet on-site safety and wind loading.
Create a tranquil and beautiful outdoor space, free from the disruption of unwanted noise. First Fence proudly presents our Timber Acoustic Fencing range, the perfect fusion of high-performance sound reduction and natural style. These barriers don't just block sound; they transform your surroundings into a more comfortable and welcoming retreat.
Our 2.5m x 3.0m EchoReflect Reflective Acoustic Fencing Kit is designed for versatility, offered in a pre-assembled version for rapid installation or as a loose kit for customised on-site building. Wider fence panels mean lower costs, quicker installation, and a sleeker finish with fewer posts.
Engineered to Perform: The specific profile of vertical sawn boards with cover strips creates a dense barrier that effectively blocks and redirects sound waves, greatly reducing noise pollution.
Proven Performance: Independently tested by the acoustic experts at Salford University, this fencing is certified to meet the stringent requirements of Highways England (BS EN 1793) for reducing road traffic noise and also complies with durability standards BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2.
Built to Last: Crafted from premium, FSC-certified timber that is pressure-treated (Tanalised to UC4 specifications). The timber surface is incised to allow for deep preservative penetration, providing maximum protection for ground contact and guaranteeing exceptional longevity.
Low Maintenance, Long Life: Engineered for durability, this timber requires minimal upkeep and boasts a manufacturer-specified 30-year desired service life, offering decades of reliable performance (subject to correct installation and environmental conditions).
Attractive Natural Finish: The timber’s subtle pale green tone provides a beautiful, organic aesthetic that complements any outdoor environment. For a custom look, it can be easily treated with a breathable paint or stain.
Privacy, Security, and Style: Beyond its excellent acoustic performance, the solid panel design provides complete visual privacy and enhances the security of your property, offering a far more welcoming aesthetic than industrial fencing.
This loose kit contains all the timber components for one 3.0m wide bay: Straight Boards, a Timber Gravel Board, a Capping Rail (50mm tapering to 38mm), Horizontal Rails, and Cover Strips.
You can choose to install your panels using either wooden posts or galvanised RSJ steel posts. Make your selection when adding to your order.
For the most secure and effective installation, we strongly recommend digging the posts in rather than bolting them down.
Installation is straightforward. Once your posts are securely in place at 3.0m centres, fix the horizontal rails to the posts at equal spacings. With the support structure in place, begin attaching the vertical boards, ensuring they are butted up closely to each other and nailed to the rails. Next, attach the cover strips over each vertical joint using 64mm stainless steel nails. Finally, fix the capping rail to the top of the panel to provide a clean finish and help shed rainwater.
Please cut back any vegetation where the fencing will be installed and ensure the panels will not sit in standing water. For guidance on wind loading suitability for your specific location, please consult a structural engineer.
Thes EchoReflect panels enhance the aesthetics of your property and also provide a proven solution for unwanted noise in residential, commercial, transport, and industrial settings.
