The 2.4m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kit is a great looking perimeter system which is also incredibly tough and hard wearing. They are an ideal choice for use in a wide range of locations such as parks and schools, with dig in and bolt down posts available, which allows these railing kits to be installed quickly and easily on a range of hard and soft ground types.
These railing systems are a sleek, stylish and functional form of perimeter demarcation which can be used in a range of locations such as schools and parks to prevent access to unauthorised areas or to create clear paths and walkways.
The 2.4m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings are designed to look great and remain strong for many years to come, with each kit made to our highest standards, to ensure that each weld and joint is strong and robust. The use of galvanised steel in the construction gives these bays a high-quality silver finish as well as creating a protective barrier which helps to protect against the detrimental effect of corrosion and rust, which can decrease the strength of the railing bay as well as making the railings look visually unappealing.
Each bay of 2.4m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings comprises of 20mm diameter round vertical railing bars which are spaced 120mm apart (from bar centre to bar centre). To hold these bars securely there are two 10mm thick bars which run along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel. The panels are then secured and supported in place with the use of 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts as well as two supporting legs which helps to increase the strength and rigidity of this railing system.
It is possible to customise your 2.4m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing system with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) which provides your system with an eye catching and professionally applied coating which not only looks great, but also provides the steel with an additional layer of protection against the damaging effects of rust formation.
To allow for quick and easy installation on as many ground types as possible, these kits are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are suited towards locations where the ground is soft enough for holes to be easily dug. The posts themselves are longer than the bolt down version, as to secure the post, a section is placed into the hole which is then filled with post mix which holds the post in place.
Bolt down posts – Bolt down posts are suitable for use in locations that may have a hard ground surface such as areas that may have been covered in concrete. These posts have a pre-attached base plate which allows for ground anchor bolts to be bolted down into the ground surface, holding the posts securely in place.
Each of the 2.4m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings includes:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
The inclusion of a gate within a railing system allows a securable point of access for authorised persons. There are a wide range of sizes available in the Vertical Bar Railing Gates, from single leaf pedestrian gates all the way up to 10m wide double leaf gates. As with the railing kits, these gates can be customised with either dig in posts and with Polyester Powder Coatings in a wide range of RAL colours.
