Designed as a strong, robust and stylish form of creating perimeters or boundaries for outdoor locations such as parks, gardens and educational establishments. Each of these 2.4m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kits has been constructed to our highest standards from galvanised steel, the combination of strong and robust construction and the protective galvanised coating means that these railings will look great and remain strong for years. The kits are supplied with a panel, post (either dig in or bolt down depending on the ground type they are being installed on), supporting bars and fixings to connect the post and supporting bars to the panel. It is also possible to customise these railing kits with a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours to create a visually appealing perimeter system.
With a height of 2.4m, these Standard Bow Top Railings are a perfect choice for creating perimeters to prevent unwanted persons from climbing whilst also maintaining a non-threatening design, reducing the number of points and corners. They are an ideal choice for securing public and private outdoor locations such as parks, gardens and educational facilities such as schools and universities.
The 2.4m High Standard Bow Top Railings have been constructed to our highest standards using high quality galvanised steel. The zinc coating of this galvanised finish provides a protective barrier against the damaging and detrimental effects of weathering and rust corrosion, whilst also providing a visually appealing silver finish. The panels themselves consist of a series of “bows” which are formed from 20mm diameter hollow tubes which are held securely in place with two 10mm thick bars running horizontally along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel. These are then supported by 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts (either in a dig in or bolt down configuration) with two supporting legs which can be attached to the bottom of the panel for additional strength.
The railing kits can be customised with a high-quality Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) which are available in a wide range of RAL colours to match the existing colours of your organisation or to create an aesthetically pleasing perimeter. These colourful coatings also provide an additional function of providing an additional layer of protection against the damaging effects of weathering and rust.
In the unfortunate event that the powder coatings should become damaged, either through accidental damage or acts of vandalism, it is possible to restore the coatings and the protection they provide through the use of easy to use spray touch up cans
So that these railings can be installed in as many different locations as possible, the 2.4m High Standard Bow Top Railings are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in bolts – The dig in posts are suitable for installation on softer ground surfaces where it is easy for holes to be dug. Created to be longer than the bolt down variants, these posts have a section of the post placed into the hole and secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – Bolt down posts have been created to allow these railings to be installed on harder ground surfaces where it may not be possible for holes to be dug such as areas surfaced with concrete. These posts have a pre-attached base plate which allows the post to be bolted to the ground surface with the use of ground anchor bolts
Each kit of 2.4m High Standard Bow Top Railings comes with the following:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
The inclusion of a Bow Top Railing Gate within your system is an ideal way of creating a securable point of access for authorised people or vehicles depending on your requirements. These gates are available in widths up to 10 metres and with either a double or single leaf design. Much like with the railing kits themselves, these gates can be ordered with either dig in or bolt down posts and customised further with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating.
