This 2.1m x 8.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate can be installed into 2.1m high Palisade Security Fencing structures to form a point of access for large vehicles. By erecting this palisade gate you can grant access when needed, whilst keeping your premises protected. At a width of 8.0m, this gate is suitable for the entry of vans and HGV’s. It contains two 4.0m wide gate leaves which meet in the middle when closed. These gate leaves can be secured with two drop bolts and a sliding latch bolt; which are provided with your gate. You may use a Heavy-Duty Padlock to supply extra palisade fencing and gate security, which is available as a customisation option.

This palisade gate is really versatile due to its ability to be constructed on various different ground types. You must take into consideration the ground type that you will be assembling your palisade fencing and gate upon, as this will ultimately determine which posts will need to be employed. You can choose from Bolt Down posts which are suitable for hard ground types or Dig-In posts which are compatible with softer ground types. As this palisade gate stands at a height of 2.1m it should be used for areas that require only a medium level of security and protection.

Features and Manufacture

This palisade gate offers great strength and dependability. Manufactured from steel, this gate is moulded by a cold rolling process. There are a number of pales that feature within the gate’s construction and these are designed to restrict intruders from scaling the fence. The pales each have a ‘W’ shaped profile which makes it very difficult for anyone to grip onto them. The tops of the pales also feature either a Round, Round and Notched, Single Pointed, Triple Pointed or Flat style, which also helps to restrict climbing attempts. Round and Flat pale types are safer and less intimidating, whereas Pointed pales are more imposing and can potentially cause more damage if climbed over. Therefore you must think about the type of area in which your security fending and palisade gate will stand before starting construction.

This 2.1m x 8.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate is also supplied with a galvanised finish to help protect it from rust. This finish complies with the BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standard and consists of a protective zinc coating being applied to the steel. There is also a Polyester Powder Coating finish available for this gate. This type of finish will provide your palisade gate with added protection against damage and the effects of weathering, along with enabling it to adopt a colourful and more aesthetically pleasing appearance. This 2.1m x 8.0m double leaf palisade gate is always supplied with triple pointed pales and a galvanised finish as standard. If you require a polyester powder coating finish or alternative pale types, please make your selection when you place your gate order.

Gate Kit

You will receive your 2.1m x 8.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate as an assembly kit. This kit will include all of the necessary gate components including pales, posts and bolt fixings. We do not supply Postfix cement or Ground Anchors within any of our gate kits so please add this to your shopping cart if required.
