Available with either dig in or bolt down posts, the 2.1m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kits can be installed on a range of ground surfaces. Each of the bays has been made from galvanised steel, with a robust and strong construction, they will be able to withstand the wear and tear associated with perimeter systems.
The 2.1m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings are an ideal in creating a sleek and stylish perimeter, with a height which acts as an excellent deterrent for would be intruders. This type of railing is a common site in gardens as well as public areas such as parks.
As well as looking stylish, these 2.1m High Vertical Bar Railings have been made to last. Each bay has been made to our highest standards and rigorously tested for their strength and stability.
These 2.1m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings comprise of a series of 20mm thick round vertical railing bars, each spaced 120mm apart (from bar centre to bar centre) which are held securely in place with two 10mm thick bars running horizontally along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel. The panel itself is supported by 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts, which are available in either dig in or bolt down posts, allowing for installation on a range of ground types. There are also two railing supporting legs which are added to the bottom bar of the panel, adding additional strength and support.
As standard, these railing bays are supplied with a galvanised finish. The zinc coatings provide the steel with a silver finish as well as providing a protective barrier against the damaging and detrimental effects of weathering and rust. It is also possible to customize the 2.1m High Standard Vertical bar Railings with a high quality and professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings are available in a wide range of RAL colours and can be used to create aesthetically pleasing perimeter as well as providing the steel an additional protective layer against rust formation and weathering.
In order to allow for installation on a range of ground types, these railings are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – Dig in posts are a suitable choice for creating railing perimeters on softer ground types where it is possible for holes to be dug. These posts are longer than 2.1m, allowing for a section of the post to be placed into the hole, where they are held securely in position with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts are suitable for installing these railing bays on harder ground types such as concrete where it may not be possible, for reasons such as cost or time, to dig holes. These posts have a base plate with pre-drilled holes allowing for ground anchor bolts to be bolted down into the ground surface.
Each 2.1m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kit contains the following:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
The inclusion of a gate allows for access for authorised persons to the interior of your railing perimeter system. There are a wide range of Vertical Bar Railing Gates to suit a range of requirements, from pedestrian access with a single leaf pedestrian gate, to access points with double leaf gates up to 10m in width. As with the Standard Vertical Bar Railings, these gates can be customised with a PPC finish, or with either dig in or bolt down posts.
