An aesthetically pleasing and secure form of security railings, the 2.1m High Standard Bow Top Railings are a great choice for creating perimeters or boundaries in a range of outdoor locations such as gardens and parks. Constructed from galvanised steel, each bay has been made to meet our exceptional standards in strength, stability, and longevity meaning that these railings are made to look great and last for many years to come. Each of the 2.1m High Standard Bow Top Railing kits comes with a panel, post, supporting legs and fixings to attach the panel to the post and support legs to the panel. These Bow Top Railing kits can be customised with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours to suit any environment.
2.1m High Standard Bow Top Railings are a fantastic choice for creating perimeters around public and private outdoor spaces such as parks, schools gardens and playgrounds. The height of these railing kits helps to prevents intruders from being able to scale over them easily, whilst maintaining a rounded, non-threatening design.
Each kit of 2.1m High Standard Bow Top Railings has been constructed from high quality galvanised steel, the zinc coating of which provides a protective coating, helping to prevent the formation of rust and corrosion which can have detrimental effects on the metal. The panels themselves consists of a series of 20mm diameter steel tubes which have been bent to create the “bows” that give these railings their name. These tubes are held securely in place within the panel by two 10mm thick bars running along the bottom and 150mm from the top. The panels themselves are then supported by 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts. There are two railing support legs which are also supplied with these kits which can be attached to the bottom rail of the panel for increased strength and stability.
These 2.1m High Standard Bow Top Railing kits can be customised with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These professionally applied coatings provide a smooth finish and are available in a wide range of RAL colours. As well as allowing for the creation of a bright and colourful perimeter, these coatings also provide an additional layer of protection against the effects of corrosion and rust.
Should the Polyester Powder Coatings become damaged in some way, either through accidental damage or acts of vandalism, it is possible to quickly and easily restore these coatings and get your perimeter looking great again with the use of our touch up spray cans.
To allow these railing kits to be installed in as many locations as possible, the kits are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – These dig in posts have been designed for areas that have a softer ground type, where holes can be easily dug. The posts are longer than the bolt down version, allowing for a section of the post to be placed into the hole where it is then secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down post is ideal for locations where the ground may have been surfaced with concrete. This type of post has a base plate attached with pre-drilled holes which allows the post to be secured to the ground surface with the use of ground anchor bolts
The 2.1m High Bow Top Railing kits come with the following components:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
There are a wide range of Bow Top Railing Gates which can be installed into your railing system to allow an access point for authorised pedestrians or vehicles. These are available in a variety of widths and with either double or single leaf variants. As with the railing kits, these are available with either dig in or bolt down posts and can be customised with a Polyester Powder Coating.
