A fantastic looking, tough and secure railing system, the 2.0m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing system has been constructed from galvanised steel to our highest standards and is an ideal perimeter creation solution for sites such as parks and schools. These railing systems are available with either dig in or bolt down posts, allowing for installation on a wide range of hard and soft ground types.
The 2.0m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings are a stylish and functional way to create a range of boundaries and perimeters for a range of applications in various locations such as gardens, schools and public spaces such as parks.
These 2.0m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kits have been made from high quality galvanised steel and rigorously tested to meet our highest standards, these railing bays have been made to not only last but look great for many years to come.
Each of the bays consists of a series of 20mm thick round vertical railing bars, spaced 120mm from each other (from bar centre to bar centre) and are held securely in place with 10mm thick bars which run horizontally along the bottom of the panel and 150mm from the top. The panels are then supported securely with the use of 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts, which are available in either dig in or bolt down variations. For increased support, each kit of 2.0m high Standard Vertical Bar Railings comes with two support legs which are attached to the bottom of the panel and provide increased strength and stability to the railing system.
As standard each of the railing bays is supplied with a galvanised coating. This zinc coat gives the steel a great looking silver finish and also provides a protective barrier, helping to prevent the formation of rust and corrosion which can have detrimental effects on the appearance and the overall strength of the steel. It is also possible to customise these railings further with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These fantastic looking coatings give your railings a smooth professionally applied finish in a range of RAL colours to create an eye-catching perimeter system. The PPC coatings also provide an additional function of creating a second protective layer to help protect the steel against weathering and rust formation.
To allow these railings to be installed easily on a range of different ground types, they are supplied in either bolt down or dig in post configurations.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are an ideal choice for areas that have a softer ground type, where holes can be dug easily. These posts are longer than the bolt down versions as a section of the post will be placed into the hole and then held securely in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – Bolt down posts have been designed to allow quick and easy installation on ground surfaces like concrete, where it may not be possible or feasible for holes to be dug. These panels have pre-attached base plates which allow for ground anchor bolts to be drilled into the ground surface to securely hold the posts in place.
Each kit of 2.0m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings comes with:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
When creating your railing system, a gate may be required to allow access for authorised persons, our range of Vertical Bar Railing Gates provide a safe and secure access point for pedestrians with our single leaf gates, as well as vehicles with larger double leaf gates with a width of up to 10m. Much like the railing bays themselves, these can be customised with either dig in or bolt down posts and a Polyester Powder Coating.
