2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit
Product Description
2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit
The 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit provides a strong, durable and cost-effective solution for creating secure boundaries around parks, gardens, schools and other public or private spaces. Manufactured from high-quality galvanised steel, these railings are designed to provide long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.
Each kit includes a 2.0m high Bow Top railing panel, a post available in either dig-in or bolt-down options, and the fixings required for assembly. For a customised finish, the railings can also be Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) in a range of RAL colours.
Features & Benefits
The curved bow top design provides an attractive, less intimidating alternative to traditional security fencing. With fewer sharp corners and exposed points, the railing is particularly well suited to areas used by children, including schools, parks and playgrounds.
Each railing panel consists of 20mm diameter tubes formed into a series of bows. These are secured with two 10mm thick horizontal bars, one positioned along the bottom and the other 150mm from the top of the panel.
The panels are supported by 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts, with two support legs attached to the bottom rail for additional strength and stability.
Key benefits include:
- Strong and durable construction
- Suitable for a wide range of public and private spaces
- Curved design with fewer sharp edges and points
- High-quality galvanised steel construction
- Dig-in and bolt-down post options
- Available with a Polyester Powder Coated finish in a range of RAL colours
Galvanised or Powder Coated Finish
The 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit is supplied with a galvanised finish as standard. The zinc coating provides a protective barrier against rust and corrosion while giving the railing a clean silver appearance.
For additional protection and a customised look, the railings can be finished with a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours. This provides an additional layer of protection against weathering while allowing the railing to complement existing site or corporate colours.
If the powder coating becomes damaged during installation or through general wear and tear, it can be easily restored using touch-up spray cans.
Post Options
The railing kits are available with either dig-in or bolt-down posts, allowing them to be installed on different ground types.
- Dig-in posts: Designed for soft ground where holes can be excavated. The longer posts are installed into the ground and secured using post mix.
- Bolt-down posts: Ideal for hard surfaces such as concrete, where excavation is not practical. These posts feature a pre-attached base plate and can be secured using ground anchor bolts.
Each Kit Includes
Each 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit contains:
- 1 x Bow Top Railing Panel
- 1 x Bow Top Railing Post
- 4 x Bow Top Railing Angle Cleats
- 6 x M10 x 30mm Bolts
- 2 x M10 x 90mm Bolts
- 8 x M10 Shear Nuts
- 2 x Support Legs
How to Step Your Panel
Where required to accommodate changes in ground level, follow these steps:
- Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the required position for the new cleat, taking the ground gradient into account.
- Enlarge the hole to 12mm to accommodate the M10 bolt.
- Touch up and spray the drilled area if required.
- Attach the cleat using the appropriate M10 Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut.
- Attach the railing panel following the standard installation guidance.
Please note: Ensure the correct spacing is maintained according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
Complete Your Railing With a Matching Gate
Create a complete perimeter with a matching Bow Top Railing Gate. Available in a range of sizes, including single leaf pedestrian gates and double leaf gates up to 10m wide, these gates provide a secure and practical access point for pedestrians and vehicles.
Like the railing kits, gates are available with dig-in or bolt-down posts and can be customised with a Polyester Powder Coated finish in a range of RAL colours.
