The 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit is an ideal solution for creating a robust and cost effective perimeters and boundaries for locations such as parks, gardens and educational facilities. Constructed to our highest standards and made from a high quality galvanised steel, these railings will stay strong and looking great for many years. These 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railings are supplied with a panel, post (which is available in either a dig in or bolt down variant depending on the ground type they are being installed on) as well as the fixings required to attach the panel to the post. These railings can be customised with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) which are available in a range of RAL colours.
Providing a strong, stable and aesthetically pleasing form of perimeter demarcation, the 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railings are an ideal choice for creating perimeters in a range of outdoor locations such as parks and gardens. The curved bow top design of these railings not only looks great but also helps to reduce the number of potentially sharp edges and points, which makes these suitable for use in areas where there may be children playing.
The bow top railing bay itself consists of a series of 20mm diameter tubes which have been bent to form the “bows” of this bow top fencing. These tubes are then held securely in place with 10mm thick flat bars which support the bow rails at the bottom and hold them in place 150mm from the top of the panel. To then support these panels, 70mm x 70mm hollow box section posts are used with two supporting legs which are attached to the bottom bar of the railing panel, providing additional strength and stability to the system.
These 2.0m High Standard Bow Top Railings are all supplied with a zinc galvanised finish. These coatings not only provide a fantastic silver finish to each railing system, but also creates a protective barrier, preventing the formation of rust and corrosion which can affect both the looks and the strength of your railing system.
It is possible to also customise these railings further with the use of a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These powder coats are available in a range of RAL colours, which allows for the creation of aesthetically pleasing perimeters which can be coloured to match company colours or the colours of existing external perimeters. These coatings also provide the steel with an additional layer of protection to further prevent weathering and rust.
In the unlikely event of the powder coatings becoming damaged, either during installation, through accidental damage or through wear and tear, it is easy to restore these coatings with the use of touch up spray cans
So that these railings can be installed in as many locations as possible, they are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are suited more towards ground types that are soft enough for holes to be dug easily. The posts themselves are longer than their bolt down variants to allow for a section to be placed into the hole and then secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – Designed for use on ground types which may have been surfaced with either concrete, making digging holes difficult or simply not possible. These posts are supplied with a pre-attached base plate, allowing for the post to be secured to the ground surface with the use of ground anchor bolts
Each of the 2.0m High Bow Top Railings are supplied with the following components:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
Create a complete railing system with the use of a Bow Top Railing Gate. They are available in a range of sizes from single leaf pedestrian gates to double leaf gates up to 10 metres wide, creating a secure point of entry for authorised persons and vehicles. As with the railing kits, these are available with either dig in or bolt down posts and can be customised with a Polyester Powder Coating to create a visually appealing security system.
