This post is made from pine and measures 2.1m in length with a diameter of 125–150mm, naturally tapered as it is debarked rather than machine-processed. The UC4 treatment makes it suitable for direct ground contact and extended outdoor exposure, the highest level of timber treatment for such applications.

The pointed end simplifies installation, allowing the post to be driven into soil more easily, even in compact or rocky ground. Posts are usually secured by backfilling with soil, gravel, or stones. For additional stability, concrete post mix can be used, and braces or struts may be added where extra support is required.
