Product Description

1m High Standard Flat Top Bollard with Base Plate

The Standard 1m Flat Top Bollard with Base Plate can be used to block vehicle access to pedestrianised areas, prevent parking in unauthorised areas, or to add a level of security for businesses, protecting properties from vehicular-based attack. Each bollard is constructed from high-quality galvanised steel and stands 1m high when installed using its bolt-down base plate.

What are Standard 1m Round Flat Top Bollards?

This is a bolt-down alternative to the dig-in variant. These bollards have been designed to provide a versatile security system suitable for a wide range of applications. Bollards can usually be seen around pedestrianised areas such as the entrances to parks and sections of town or city streets which have been closed off and pedestrianised. The bollards are placed so that they provide a gap large enough for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users to gain access whilst preventing access for vehicles such as cars and vans.

They can also be used to increase the security of a shop or business which may hold a lot of high-value stock, such as jewellery. Placing these bollards outside will protect against would-be thieves who may use a car or van to ram open locked doors.

Each of the Standard Round Flat Top Bollards with base plates stands at 1m high when installed and has been constructed from high-quality galvanised steel. The galvanised finish on these bollards allows them to withstand the damaging effects of weathering and rust for many years to come.

Are these Bollards easy to install?

It is quick and easy to install these Round Flat Top Bollards on hard ground surfaces such as concrete. Each of the bollards comes with a fixed base plate that has pre-drilled holes in each corner, allowing ground anchor bolts to be used to secure the bollard in place.

How far apart should bollards be spaced?

As some of the main purposes of bollards are to prevent vehicular access to pedestrianised areas and to protect buildings from vehicular-based “ram raid” style attacks, the bollards should be spaced out in such a way as to prevent vehicles from being able to pass through. They should also be spaced in such a way that pedestrians, pushchairs and wheelchairs can pass through easily. Taking these factors into account, it is recommended that the gaps between bollards should be around 1.2m to allow a sufficient level of access

Customise your Bollards

As standard, each of the flat top bollards with base plates comes with a galvanised finish, which results in them being a silver colour. The galvanised coatings, while providing an important role in helping to protect the steel, don’t always fit the look of the environment they are being installed in or may not be visible in poor weather conditions. To help with this, it is possible to order your bollards with a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours. These bright and colourful coatings can help to improve the aesthetics of your business or a public space and can also be used to increase visibility in low-visibility conditions, such as poor weather.
