Product Description

1.8m x 2.0m Single Leaf Palisade Gate Kit

Designed to provide a secure point of access for both pedestrians and small vehicles, the 1.8m high by 2.0m wide single leaf palisade gate has been constructed from high-quality cold-rolled steel to protect your premises from would-be intruders.

Please note that our Palisade range does not come pre-assembled, and the components will need to be assembled on-site. For more information, please read our installation guide.

What is Palisade Fencing?

So what exactly is palisade fencing? And why should it be used to secure a site from would-be intruders? Palisade fencing differs from other types of steel fencing, such as V or 868 mesh, which comes in panel form, instead of being supplied as a series of vertical bars, also known as pales. These pales are each held securely in place by two rails running horizontally from one post to the next. This kit design allows for much easier transportation and installation, and its design, when installed, allows for maximum visibility for additional security systems like CCTV cameras without compromising on strength and stability.

How secure are Palisade Fencing Gates?

Our 1.8m x 2.0m single leaf palisade gates combine an intimidating design with cold-rolled steel and high-quality construction. Each gate has been made in the UK to the highest standards, providing them with a high level of strength and rigidity against damage from would-be intruders.
As well as providing an incredibly high level of strength, cold rolled steel components can be made much thinner and lighter than if other types of steel were used, which allows for easier transportation and installation.
One of the main ways that intruders will attempt to gain access to your site is by climbing, to prevent this from happening, the pales which make up the main body of the fencing have a unique W shaped profile. This W shape makes it tough to grip strongly enough to climb over your fencing perimeter. Acting as another anti-climbing system that this palisade gate has is that each of the pales is also topped with a pointed end, available as triple pointed as standard, though they are also available in either single point or rounded and notched (lead times may apply). These pointed ends add a level of intimidation to the fencing line, deterring many from attempting to climb over and making it far more difficult for those who attempt it.
As well as the sliding bolt to secure the gate closed when not in use, each of these gates is also provided with a drop bolt. These drop bolts can be used to hold the gate open safely and securely when in use and can also be used as an additional form of protection to prevent the gate from being opened when combined with the sliding latch bolt.
Weathering and rust formation can ruin the aesthetics of your fence line as well as compromise the strength of the fencing line as a whole. To help to combat this. All of our palisade gates have been galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 Standards. These coatings will create a protective barrier against rust and allow the steel to keep its silver finish for longer.

What are the benefits to using Palisade Fencing?

Palisade Fencing has many benefits, which make it an ideal security solution, including:

  • Its overall aesthetic and intimidating design will prevent would be vandals and intruders from attempting to gain access to your site.
  • Robust design: The cold rolled steel and strong construction provide these gates with an incredible level of strength and durability
  • Anti-climb design: The tips of the pales and the W shaped profile of the pales themselves combine to create a fencing system which would be incredibly difficult for a would be intruder to climb over.
  • Hold the gate open safely and securely with the use of the drop bolt. This bolt can also be used as an additional level of security by helping to hold the gate shut when not in use.
  • Each of our 1.8m x 2.0m palisade gates has been finished with a galvanised coating to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards. For additional protection it is also possible to have these gates Polyester Powder Coated (PPC)

What comes with each 1.8m x 2.0m Palisade Gate Kit?

Each of the 1.8m x 2.0m Single leaf gate kits come with the following:

  • 1 x 1.8m by 2.0m sliding gate leaf
  • 1 x 1.8m Gate catch post
  • 1 x 1.8m Hinge gate post
  • 2 x Adjustable Gate Eyes
  • 4 x Ribbed inserts for frame and posts
  • 13 x 1.75m W section pales
