The 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kits are a great solution for creating perimeter boundary demarcation, which can be used in a wide range of public and private locations such as creating boundaries between properties, to prevent access to areas such as flower gardens in parks or to create aesthetically pleasing perimeters for public car parks.
Each bay of 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kits has been constructed from galvanised steel to the highest possible standards. The use of galvanised steel means that these railings are protected against weathering and corrosion, enabling them to keep their silver finish for longer. They can also be customised with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) which are available in a variety of RAL colours.
Vertical Bar Railings are a sleek and stylish way of creating boundaries or perimeters and are quite a common site in parks, around schools or in gardens.
Manufactured to our highest standards, the 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kits have been made to last and look great for many years to come. Each kit has been made from galvanised steel, which consists of a zinc coating that acts as a protective barrier, preventing the formation of corrosion and allowing these railings to keep their silver finish for longer.
The bays themselves comprise of a series of 16mm diameter round railing bars which are arranged vertically and are held securely in place with two 10mm thick bars which run horizontally along the bottom of the panel and 150mm from the top. To support the panels, 70 x 70mm hollow box section posts are used, in either a dig in or bolt down variation. For additional support, each kit is also supplied with a support leg which is fixed into the middle of the panel.
The 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings can be customised to create a colourful and eye-catching perimeter with the use of Polyester Powder Coatings (PPC) in a range of RAL colours. These coatings are professionally applied, leaving a high-quality smooth finish which also act as an additional protective layer to prevent corrosion.
These kits are available with either dig in or bolt down posts to allow for secure installation on a variety of ground types.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are suited to areas where the ground is soft enough for holes to be dug easily. This particular type of post is much longer than the bolt down version, which allows for a section of the post to be placed into the hole and then held securely in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts are designed to securely support the railings on ground surfaces such as concrete where it may not be possible for holes to be dug. Each post has a base plate attached with pre drilled holes which allows it to be bolted to the ground with the use of ground anchor bolts
Each kit of 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings comes with the following items:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
To complete your railing perimeter system, there are a range of vertical bar gates in a range of sizes from 1m wide single leaf pedestrian gates through to 10m wide double leaf gate systems to meet any access requirements. As with the railing kits, these gates can be customised with either dig in or bolt down posts as well as a Polyester Powder Coating in a wide range of RAL colours.
