1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kit
Product Description
1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kit
The 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kit provides a strong, attractive way to define boundaries across a wide range of public and private spaces. Ideal for parks, schools, gardens and public car parks, these railings can be used to guide pedestrians, protect landscaped areas or create clear property boundaries.
Manufactured from high-quality galvanised steel, the railings are designed for long-term outdoor use and protection against weathering and corrosion. For a more customised finish, they are also available with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours.
Features & Benefits
The 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing combines a clean, traditional appearance with a strong and durable construction.
Each railing panel features a series of 16mm diameter vertical bars, secured by two 10mm horizontal bars positioned along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel. The panels are supported by 70mm x 70mm hollow box-section posts, with a central support leg providing additional strength and stability.
The galvanised steel construction helps protect the railing against rust and corrosion, while the optional PPC finish provides an additional protective layer and allows you to create a perimeter that complements its surroundings.
Dig-In or Bolt-Down Posts
The railing kits are available with either dig-in or bolt-down posts, allowing them to be installed on a range of ground types.
- Dig-in posts: Designed for softer ground where holes can be excavated. The longer posts are installed into the ground and secured using post mix.
- Bolt-down posts: Ideal for hard surfaces such as concrete, where excavation may not be practical. These posts feature pre-attached base plates with pre-drilled holes for securing them with ground anchor bolts.
Each Kit Includes
Each 1.8m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kit contains:
- 1 x Vertical Bar Railing Panel
- 1 x Vertical Bar Railing Post
- 4 x Vertical Bar Railing Angle Cleats
- 5 x M10 x 30mm Bolts
- 2 x M10 x 90mm Bolts
- 7 x M10 Shear Nuts
- 1 x Support Leg
How to Install Your Panel
- Drill a 6mm pilot hole where the new cleat is required, taking the gradient into account.
- Open the hole to 12mm to accommodate the M10 bolts.
- Touch up and spray the hole if required.
- Attach the cleat using the appropriate M10 Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut. Use M10 x 70mm fixings for 0.9m–1.2m systems or M10 x 80mm fixings for 1.5m–2.4m systems.
- Attach the railing panel following the standard installation guidance.
Please note: Ensure the correct spacing relationships are maintained according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
Complete Your Perimeter With a Matching Gate
Create a complete and cohesive railing system by adding a Vertical Bar Railing Gate. Available in a range of sizes, from 1m wide single leaf pedestrian gates to 10m wide double leaf gates, they provide access options for both pedestrians and vehicles.
Like the railing kits, the gates can be supplied with dig-in or bolt-down posts and customised with a Polyester Powder Coating in a range of RAL colours.
