1.8m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit

The 1.8m High Standard Bow Top Railing Kit provides a strong, secure and cost-effective way to define boundaries in public and private spaces. Ideal for schools, parks, playgrounds and gardens, its rounded bow top design creates a secure perimeter with a less intimidating appearance.

Manufactured from high-quality galvanised steel, these railings are built for long-term outdoor use. Each kit includes a 1.8m high bow top panel, posts, and fixings, with a choice of dig-in or bolt-down posts to suit different ground conditions.

Features & Benefits

The Bow Top Railing system combines strength with a simple, attractive design. Each panel features a series of 16mm diameter tubular bows, secured by two 10mm horizontal bars positioned along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel.

The panels are supported by 70mm x 70mm hollow box-section posts, with a support leg providing additional stability.

The bow top design also reduces sharp corners and points, making it particularly suitable for areas where children are present.

Galvanised or PPC Finish

As standard, the 1.8m High Standard Bow Top Railing is supplied with a galvanised finish. The zinc coating helps protect the steel from weathering and corrosion while providing a clean silver appearance.

For a more customised finish, the railings can be supplied with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours. As well as creating an attractive perimeter, the coating provides an additional layer of protection against corrosion.

If the powder coating becomes damaged, the finish can be easily restored using a touch-up spray can.

Dig-In or Bolt-Down Posts

Choose the installation option that best suits your site:

• Dig-in posts: Designed for softer ground where holes can be excavated. The longer posts are installed into the ground and secured with post mix.
• Bolt-down posts: Ideal for hard surfaces such as concrete, where digging may not be practical. The posts feature pre-drilled base plates for secure fixing with ground anchor bolts.

• 1 x Bow Top Railing Panel

• 4 x Bow Top Railing Angle Cleats
• 5 x M10 x 30mm Bolts
• 2 x M10 x 90mm Bolts
• 7 x M10 Shear Nuts
• 1 x Support Leg

How to Install Your Panel

1. Drill a 6mm pilot hole where the new cleat is required, taking the gradient into account.
2. Open the hole to 12mm to accommodate the M10 bolts.
3. Touch up and spray the hole if required.
4. Attach the cleat using the appropriate M10 Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut. Use M10 x 70mm fixings for 0.9m–1.2m systems or M10 x 80mm fixings for 1.5m–2.4m systems.
5. Attach the railing panel following the standard installation guidance.

Please note: Ensure the correct spacing relationships are maintained according to the existing hole centres on the posts.

Complete Your Perimeter With a Matching Gate

Add a Bow Top Railing Gate to create a secure access point for pedestrians or vehicles. Available in a range of widths and single or double leaf configurations, the gates can also be supplied with dig-in or bolt-down posts and finished with a choice of RAL-coloured PPC.
