Each bay consists of a series of 16mm thick round vertical rails which are held securely in pace with two 10mm thick galvanised steel bars which run along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the railing panel. Each panel is held in place with the use of 50mm hollow box section posts, which are available in either dig in or bolt down variations. For additional support there is also a support leg which is attached in the centre of the panel.

Looking to add some colour to your railing system? These 1.5m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings can be customised with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings not only can create a visually striking perimeter but also provides the additional function of providing the steel with an additional layer of protection against weathering and corrosion.
To allow installation in a wide range of locations and ground types, these Vertical Bar Railing systems are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts - Dig in posts have been designed to allow installation on softer ground types where it is possible to dig holes. The dig in posts are longer then the bolt down versions as a section of the post is then placed into the hole and secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts - The bolt down post is suitable for ground types which are harder and potentially more difficult to dig holes into for cost or resource reasons such as concrete. This type of post is supplied with a pre-attached base plate which is used to secure these posts to the ground surface with the use of ground anchor bolts
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
Add a Vertical Bar Railing Gate to create a complete perimeter railing system. These gates are available in widths from 1m wide pedestrian gates up to 10m wide double leaf versions, allowing access for not just pedestrians but also vehicles if required. Much like the railing bays, each gate is available with the option of dig in or bolt down posts, allowing for installation on a range of ground types.
