Designed to create strong and unintimidating perimeters, the 1.5m High Standard Bow Top Railing systems are an ideal choice for schools and parks as well as for private use in gardens. The bays have a strong and sturdy construction and have been made to from galvanised steel, which prevents the formation of rust and keeps them looking great for many years. It is possible to customise these kits with either dig in or bolt down posts and with a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) which are available in a variety of RAL colours to create aesthetically pleasing perimeters.
The 1.5m High Standard Bow Top Railings have been created to provide a strong and secure form of perimeter fencing, whilst also having an unintimidating appearance which makes them ideal for both public and private outdoor spaces such as school grounds, parks, and gardens.
These 1.5m High Standard Bow Top Railings have been made from galvanised steel and manufactured to our highest standards to ensure that they are strong and stable for many years to come. The zinc galvanised coating helps to protect the steel against the detrimental effects of weathering and rust corrosion.
Each railing bay consists of a series of 16mm diameter thick tubes which have been bent to form the characteristic ‘bows’ of the bow top railings. These are then held securely in place with 10mm thick horizontal bars which run along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel. To support the panel, they are attached to 50mm x 50mm hollow box section posts, with a railing support leg providing additional support in the middle of the bay.
As standard, the 1.5m High Standard Bow Top Railing bays are supplied with a galvanised finish. These silver finishes look great in a wide range of locations, though it is possible to customise them with a Polyester Powder Coating. The Polyester Powder Coatings (PPC) are available in a wide range of RAL colours. These can be used to create fantastic looking perimeters or coloured to match the colours of your organisation whilst also providing an additional protective layer against the damaging effects of weathering and rust formation.
In the unlikely event that the Polyester Powder Coating becomes damaged, for example damaged caused by an accident. It is possible to restore this protective coating and get your railings looking great again with the use of a touch up spray can.
In order to allow these railing kits to be installed in as many different locations as possible, they can be ordered with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – Dig in posts have been created to allow for installation in locations where holes can easily be dug, and the post placed into the hole, secured in place with post mix. Because of this the dig in post is longer than the bolt down version.
Bolt down posts – These posts are designed to be used on harder ground types where it may not be possible for holes to be dug, for example due to time or financial constraints. These posts have a fixed base plate with 4 pre-drilled holes, one in each corner which allows for it to be bolted securely to the ground surface with the use of ground anchor bolts.
Each kit of 1.5m High Bow Top Railing Kits comes with the following components:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
The addition of a gate to your railing system allows for a safe and securable access point for pedestrians or vehicles depending on your requirements. There are a wide range of Bow Top Railing Gates to suit any need, from single leaf pedestrian gates to large double leaf gates up to 10m in width. These can be customised further with either dig in or bolt down posts or a Polyester Powder Coating in a range of RAL colours.
