Ideal for creating amazing looking perimeter systems, the 1.2m High Standard Bar Railing Kit is an excellent solution which is suitable for use in a variety of public and private locations such as gardens, parks and schools. Each bay has been constructed to our highest standards from galvanised steel, the zinc coating of which helps to protect the steel from the damaging effects of weathering and rust formation. To allow the 1.2m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kits to be installed on a range of ground types, they are available with either dig in or bolt down posts. Each bay can be customised to create a bright and colourful railing system with the use of Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of RAL colours.
Vertical Bar Railings are a very common form of perimeter and boundary demarcation which can be found in a variety of locations such as parks and schools. They can be used to prevent pedestrians from accessing areas which may need to be blocked of for safety reasons or to prevent areas such as flower beds from being trampled.
Each of the 1.2m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kits has been made to the highest standards, with a galvanised steel construction, they have been built to last. The main railing panel comprises of 12mm thick vertical rails which are held securely in place with two 8mm bars running horizontally along the top and bottom of the panel.
By using galvanised steel as the main material in the manufacture of these kits means that they have a much higher resistance to weathering and corrosion, allowing them to keep their silver finish for much longer.
It is possible to customise your 1.2m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing Kits in a range of bright and colourful Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finishes in a variety of RAL colours. The coatings don’t only look great but also add a second protective layer to the steel against the damaging effects of weathering and corrosion.
These Vertical Bar Railing kits are able to be installed on either hard or soft ground surfaces, depending on the post type selected.
Dig in posts – This type of post is suited towards areas where the ground is soft enough for holes to be dug. The dig in posts are longer than the bolt down versions, allowing for a section to be put into the hole and secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts allow for these railings to be installed on harder ground surfaces such as concrete, where it may not be possible to dig holes. Each of these posts has a base plate with pre drilled holes which allow for them to be bolted securely to the ground with the use of ground anchor bolts
Each of the 1.2m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings comes with the following:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
The addition of vertical bar railing gates to complete your perimeter railing system allows access for authorised personnel to specific areas. Available in a range of widths, and in either a single or double leaf variant, to allow access for pedestrians or vehicles. As with the railings themselves, the gates are available with either dig in posts, allowing for installation on a range of ground types.
