These 1.2m High Standard Bow Top Railings provide a safe and fantastic looking way to create boundaries and perimeters in locations such as gardens and parks. With a strong construction and use of high-quality galvanised steel, these railings have been designed to remain strong and looking great for years to come. Each railing kit is supplied with a panel, a post (either dig in or bolt down) ands can be customised with the use of a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a variety of RAL colours.
The 1.2m High Standard Bow Top Railings are a fantastic looking and cost-effective way of making boundaries or perimeters in a range of locations such as gardens, and schools. The bow top design provides an appealing and non-threatening design whilst remaining incredibly strong and robust. The elimination of pointed ends on the rails also makes these more suitable for use around schools, parks, and playgrounds.
Each bay of 1.2m High Standard Bow Top Railings has been constructed from high quality galvanised steel, the zinc coating of which creates a protective barrier that helps to prevent the formation of corrosion, helping the steel to maintain its strength and keep its silver finish for longer. The bays themselves consist of a series of 12mm diameter tubes which are bent to form the bows themselves. These are then held securely in place by two 8mm thick bars which run horizontally along the bottom and 150mm from the top of the panel. The panels are then supported by 50mm x 50mm hollow box section posts which are available as either bolt down or dig in versions.
These 1.2m High Bow Top Railings are supplied in a galvanised finish as standard, though it is possible to customise these with the use of a PPC coating. Polyester Powder Coatings (PPC) are a high-quality coating which leaves the railings with a smooth finish and are available in a range of RAL colours. As well as allowing for the creation of an eye catching and aesthetically pleasing perimeter system, they provide an additional protective barrier against rust formation and corrosion.
In the event of the PPC coating becoming damaged, either through accident or general wear and tear, our easy to use touch up spray cans are a quick and easy way to restore these coatings and keep your railing systems looking great.
So that these Bow Top Railings can be installed in as many locations as possible they are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The use of dig in posts are more suited towards areas where the ground is soft, allowing for holes to be dug easily and the posts secured in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts are more suitable for installation on ground surfaces that are hard, such as areas covered in concrete, where it may not be possible to dig holes. These posts are bolted securely into the ground with the use of ground anchor bolts
Each of the 1.2m High Bow Top Railing kits comes with the following items:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
Adding a gate to your perimeter provides a lockable point of access for authorised persons. These are available in a wide of sizes in either single or twin leaf designs, from single leaf pedestrian gates up to 10m wide double leaf gates to suit any requirements. As with the railing kits themselves, these can be customised with either dig in or bolt down posts or a Polyester Powder Coating.
