These 0.9m High Standard Vertical Bar Railing kits are the ideal choice for aesthetically pleasing perimeter demarcation and are suitable for use in public areas such as schools and parks. Each railing kit is available with either dig in or bolt down posts and has been constructed from high quality galvanised steel, increasing the life span of these rails and allowing them to keep their silver finish for longer. To improve the look of your railings it is also possible to have them powder coated in a range of RAL colours.
0.9m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings are a common site in public spaces such as parks where they are used as a deterrent, preventing pets or pedestrians from accessing unwanted areas such as flower beds or they can also be seen in residential areas as a lower security form of border demarcation.
Each bay of vertical bar railings has been constructed from high quality galvanised steel. The main body of the railing kit consists of a series of 12mm vertical bars which are held securely in place by 8mm thick horizontal rails which greatly improve the strength and stability of the railing system.
The use of galvanised steel for these railing bays means that they are much more resistant to corrosion and weathering than untreated steel. The zinc coatings form a protective barrier which protects the steel as well as allowing them to keep their silver finishes for longer.
It is also possible to have these railing kits Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) in a range of RAL colours. These coatings can help to improve the looks of your perimeter as well as providing an additional protective layer to the steel.
These vertical bar railing kits can be installed on both hard or soft ground types depending on the type of post selected, either dig in or bolt down.
Bolt down posts – These posts are the ideal choice if the railings are being installed on concreted surfaces such as along the sides of paths or walkways. These posts have a base plate with predrilled holes in each corner which allows for Ground Anchor Bolts or Resin Stud Ground Anchor Bolts to be drilled into the ground surface to hold the posts securely in place.
Dig in posts – Dig in posts are suitable for use on ground surfaces where holes can easily be dug, such as around flower beds. These posts are longer than their bolt down counterparts so that a section of the post can be placed into the hole and held securely in place with the use of post mix
Each kit of 0.9m High Standard Vertical Bar Railings comes with the following components:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
If you are looking to create a perimeter with these 1.0m railing gates, it is also possible to order a Vertical Railing Gate which will complement your railing system as well as restricting access to areas by unauthorised personnel. They are available in a range of widths and in either single leaf or double leaf variants. As with the railing systems, the gates are also available with either dig in or bolt down posts, making them suitable for installation on a range of ground types.
