Providing a great looking perimeter for a wide range of applications and locations from flower bed boundaries to surrounding parks. These high-quality galvanised steel ball top railings are 0.9m high and available with Polyester Powder Coatings (PPC) in a wide range of RAL colours, which can help to create an aesthetically pleasing railing solution.
0.9m High Standard Ball Top Railings are of a similar design to our vertical bar railing systems, the main difference being that each of the vertical bars is topped with a steel ball. The addition of these balls helps to create a more aesthetically pleasing looking railing solution, as well as eliminating any sharp edges from the tops of each of the bars.
Each bay of 0.9m High Standard Ball Top Railings has been constructed from high quality galvanised steel. Galvanised steel has a protective layer of zinc which protects the metal from the damaging effects of weathering and rust.
It is also possible to further increase this protection and also create a bright and colourful perimeter with a Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finish. These PPC finishes are available in a wide range of RAL colours
These 0.9m High Standard Ball Top Railings can be used on a range of ground types such as concrete and soft ground like soil depending on the type of posts used. These railing kits are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – Dig in posts are suitable for use on softer ground types where holes can be dug easily. These posts are longer than their bolt down counterparts as a section of these posts will need to be placed into the hole and held in position with post mix which, once set, will securely hold the posts in place.
Bolt down posts – Bolt down posts are ideal for areas where a hard ground surface like concrete has already been put down and it would be costly or time consuming to dig holes into it. These posts have a base plate which have predrilled holes for ground anchor bolts or resin bolts which hold the post securely in place.
Each of the 0.9m Standard Ball Top Railings includes:
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
