This comprehensive kit provides all the essential elements for a single corner post section of wall-mounted 60-degree cranked mesh fencing:

• 2 x Folded Corner Clamp Bar 700mm Long: Essential for securely fastening mesh panels around the 90-degree corner.
• 2 x 0.6m High 60 Degree Crank 60x60 Intermediate Post: A 60x60mm post, 900mm in total length, specifically designed for secure wall mounting with a 60-degree outward crank.
• 6 x  868 Mesh Fencing Black Fixing Clips: Essential for securely attaching mesh panels to the post.
• 6 x M8 x 40mm Mesh Security Bolts: Ensures the mesh panels remain firmly in place on the post.
• 6 x M8 x 40mm Cup Head Galvanised Bolts: For securing the clamp bars.

Installation Considerations

Fixing the posts to your wall is critical for optimal security. The type of fixing you use will depend on your wall material (brick, concrete, etc.), the anticipated load, and the environment (indoor vs. outdoor). Each cranked post typically requires a maximum of six M16 fixings for secure attachment, ensuring maximum stability. Common fixings suitable for this application include:

• Sleeve Anchors/Through Bolts: Ideal for heavy-duty applications, expanding to grip into concrete or solid brick.
• Shield Anchors (Rawl Bolts): Excellent for solid masonry walls, expanding to provide a strong hold.
• Chemical Anchors (Resin Fixings): Offers high load capacity and is best for irregular, hollow, or older brickwork.

First Fence offers several M16 fixings: M16 x 220mm Ground Anchor Bolt, M16 x 150mm Ground Anchor Bolt, M16 x 125mm Ground Anchor Bolt, and M16 x 190mm Resin Stud Ground Anchors. Please note that the fixings you select will be dependent on the wall material, it is recommended that you carry out an assessment before you begin work.

Mesh panels from the intermediate fencing kit (not included in this kit, but required for installation) will need to be cut on site to suit the desired installation position at the corner.

Installation Tips

Before installation, thoroughly inspect the wall's condition; crumbling mortar or hollow bricks necessitate specialised attention.

Measure and mark precisely to ensure a proper fit at the corner junction.  Trim the panel using suitable cutting tools (angle grinder).  Ensure cuts are clean and straight.

Smooth any rough or sharp edges and apply a protective coating such as cold galvanising spray to prevent corrosion.

Position trimmed panels to form the corner and fasten using appropriate hardware.  Ensure precise vertical alignment of all posts by utilising a spirit level.

For outdoor applications, always select corrosion-resistant hardware, such as galvanised or stainless steel, to guarantee lasting durability.
