The Apollo 3.0m High x 10.0m Wide 868 Twin Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit is designed to deliver maximum access control and security for large sites that require wide vehicle entry points. With a total width of 10.0 metres and a height of 3.0 metres, this gate is the ideal solution for locations needing reliable, durable, and secure access without compromising on visibility or ease of use.
This gate uses the trusted 868 twin mesh system, consisting of strong 6mm vertical wires and two robust 8mm horizontal wires. This twin-wire structure creates a highly rigid and tamper-resistant barrier that is difficult to climb or cut through. The close spacing of the wires ensures enhanced security by preventing items from being passed through the mesh, while still allowing excellent visibility for surveillance and monitoring systems.
The gate frame and mesh panel are manufactured from high-quality pre-galvanised steel, meeting BS EN 10346 standards, and finished with a polyester powder coating to BS EN 13438. This dual protection system offers superb resistance to corrosion, weather damage, and general wear and tear, making it an ideal choice for long-term outdoor use. The powder coating is available in a range of colours to suit different environments or to match existing fencing and branding.
Each gate leaf measures 5.0 metres in width, allowing the full gate opening to accommodate wide vehicles such as HGVs, plant machinery, emergency vehicles, or multiple lanes of traffic. The gate features fully adjustable hinges for a smooth and reliable operation, with the ability to open up to 180 degrees for complete access flexibility. Mitred corners on the gate frame provide added strength and a neat, professional finish.
Security is further enhanced through the inclusion of a sliding latch which can be padlocked for standard protection, or upgraded to more advanced digital locking systems if required. The modular gate design allows for quick exit digital locks and other access control options to be added if needed.
The gate kit is compatible with both dig-in and bolt-down posts, offering flexibility for installation on soft or hard ground surfaces. Please note that post mix or ground anchor bolts are not included and should be selected based on site conditions. The kit includes all necessary components for installation, ensuring a straightforward setup.
Featuring a triple hinge design, the Apollo® 3.0m x 10.0m double leaf gates are compliant to BS EN 12604, meeting the DHF recommendations for preventing a gate leaf from falling in the unlikely event of a single hinge failure.
