Designed for durability and strength, our timber posts and stock fencing offer a dependable, rustic solution for agricultural and rural needs, combining natural beauty with long-lasting performance.
Durable & Resilient: Timber posts provide a solid structure, and high-tensile netting holds up well under pressure.
Cost-Effective: A more affordable option than metal fencing, without compromising on strength.
Easy to Install & Adjust: Needs minimal tools and can be easily modified when necessary.
Versatile Applications: Suitable for livestock enclosures, crop protection, and defining property lines.
Eco-Friendly: Crafted from sustainable timber and produced with lower energy use compared to metal alternatives.
Cundy peeled corner strainer posts are a type of round timber post used in agricultural fencing, specifically designed to provide strong structural support at corners where fencing lines sharply change direction or tension changes significantly.
The corner strainer post kit consists of one 2.4m x 150/175mm strainer post and two 2.4m x 75/100mm struts. These posts are Cundy Peeled, which is a process that removes the bark. This process gives the posts a natural look with a non-uniform diameter (the dimensions 150/175mm, etc, refer to the fact that the diameter will vary down the length of the post). The posts are tanalised to UC4 standards.
Struts are angled supports that connect the post and the ground to keep the post upright and prevent it from pulling inwards or leaning. Often, strainer posts are driven deep into the ground and then backfilled, while the struts are typically set in place with a quick-setting concrete, such as post mix, for added stability. Post mix does not come with the kit.
This type of wooden post is ideal for livestock fencing, hiking trails, and farm property boundaries and is a highly adaptable solution for many non-agricultural settings. Timber is a strong material and is durable and long-lasting in outdoor settings. It is relatively easy to handle and install, which is useful in rural or remote areas.
