At First Fence, we offer a comprehensive range of cavity wall and eaves lintels designed to meet the varying structural needs of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Manufactured from high-quality pre-galvanised steel and fully compliant with UK building regulations, our lintels provide reliable support for brick and blockwork over openings such as doors and windows.
Whether you're working on standard domestic builds or heavy-load structural projects, our range includes standard, heavy-duty, and extra heavy-duty options to suit different cavity widths and load requirements. We also offer specialist eaves lintels designed for openings at roof level. All our lintels are tested to the relevant BS EN standards, ensuring strength, durability, and performance you can trust.

This is a standard load-bearing cavity wall lintel designed for cavity widths between 150mm and 165mm. It has a 95mm outer leaf to support bricks up to 102mm wide, and a 100mm inner leaf for blocks of the same width. The lintel comes in lengths from 750mm to 4800mm, in 150mm increments, suitable for spanning openings like doors and windows.
It requires an additional 150mm bearing support on each end (e.g., a 1800mm gap needs a lintel length of 2100mm, including bearings). Made from high-quality pre-galvanised mild steel, it meets UK thermal and building regulation standards. Proper installation is necessary to ensure it supports the required loads.
Standard Load-Bearing Cavity Lintels are available to fit:
Please note that the 50mm-65mm cavity size is designed for timber frames, and may not be suitable for brick or stonework.
Our Heavy-Duty Load-Bearing Cavity Lintels are designed to support heavier loads than standard lintels. It features a 95mm outer leaf, capable of supporting bricks up to 102mm wide, and a 100mm inner leaf designed to support blocks of the same width.
Select the preferred width to fit:
These lintels come in 150mm length increments from 750mm to 4050mm, making them suitable for a range of openings, including doors and windows. A minimum 150mm end bearing is required on both ends, so for a 1800mm opening, a 2100mm lintel is needed.
Our Extra Heavy-Duty Load-Bearing Cavity Wall Lintels are designed to support very heavy loads over openings in cavity walls. They feature a shorter outer leaf width, which can support larger bricks, allowing for a 7mm overhang. The inner leaf is taller and can support blocks of the same width.
This lintel range is available in lengths from 750mm to 4800mm, in 150mm increments, providing options for a variety of span sizes. To ensure proper support, the lintel must include a minimum 150mm end bearing on each side. For example, if the gap to be spanned is 1800mm, the lintel length should be at least 2100mm.

Available in a variety of lengths from 750mm to 4800mm.
Our EL/K-90 Cavity Wall Eaves Lintel is designed to support window openings at the eaves level. The shorter outer leaf allows the underside of the soffit board to be closely flush to the window frame. The inner leaf is taller, allowing support for standard blockwork, and it also has a plaster key incorporated into it.
Our eaves lintels also use a thermal break plate on the underside, allowing for superior structural performance.
Available in a range of lengths from 750mm to 2700mm.
Our lintels are made from pre-galvanised steel to comply with thermal building regulations. Depending on the load-bearing capabilities, the thickness of the lintel will vary.
We test all of our lintels to meet the relevant BS EN standards. They’re also compliant with the following regulations:
You can also rest assured knowing that we have tested to BS 5977 Part 2: 1983 and BS EN 845-2:2003 to ensure reliability and compliance.
Our Cavity Wall and Eaves Lintels are designed to support structures above doors and windows, where they could be more prone to collapse. By strengthening the area and allowing for load-bearing, the structure stays safe and avoids disaster.
