Understanding SR1 (A1) Rated Security Fencing
The ProFence® series totally represent First Fence's top-tier selection of security-rated products, which have been thoroughly tested and certified under the challenging LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) standards.
This certification denotes a one-minute attack delay using Toolkit A, which includes tools like glass cutters, pliers, spanners, and bolt cutters, items that are often concealed and commonly used by individuals looking for high-value properties to break into. This sixty-second delay could be invaluable, affording security teams the time needed to promptly detect and respond to potential break-ins. It could make all the difference to would-be criminals from stealing valuable assets or causing damage.
First Fence's ProFence® collection offers fence kits in both 358 Prison Mesh and 868 Twin Mesh, featuring various height options. Moreover, we provide single and double gates expertly designed to harmonise with the ProFence® fencing system. Features and Benefits
This security-rated mesh gate is designed as a double leaf, constructed from high-quality steel, which has been hot dip galvanised to ISO 1461 standards. Each gate is then coated with a durable polyester powder, both of which offer robust protection against rust, corrosion, and daily wear and tear. It is available in a range of RAL colours.
Double leaf gates are useful when you have more space to utilise or if you need to be able to control access. Single leaf gates are also available, for other width options, please explore our complete selection.
The gate showcases the distinctive 868 Mesh which is also known as Twin Mesh due to the double horizontal wires. This tough wire mesh has narrow mesh apertures which will thwart the passage of objects, while also making it difficult to scale or cut. This mesh is particularly suitable for scenarios where clear visibility is a high priority, such as when integrated with CCTV systems.
The gate kit incorporates six adjustable gate eyes; in the unlikely event of a hinge failing, the gate remains secure, preventing accidents, damage, or injuries. Each adjustable gate eye bolt is securely fastened with a snap-off nut, minimising the risk of removal post-installation. Two Drop Bolts provide additional security for your security-rated double gate.
Easy Installation
First Fence's SR1-rated mesh gate kit is available in both a dig-in and bolt-down format, and so will accommodate most ground conditions. It is important to assess the ground you intend to install this gate on before making your purchase. If it is grass or other soft soil, the dig-in option is necessary, while concrete and other solid ground types will require bolt-down posts.
The bolt-down kit includes the necessary ground anchor bolts. If you opt for the dig-in kit, you will need to add Post Mix to your order. We recommend four bags per post for a sturdy installation. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.
This gate is suitable for both pedestrian access and small vehicles such as forklifts. The sliding latch bolt keeps the leaves securely closed, and the drop bolts ensure the leaves are firmly held in place. One or both leaves can be opened as per your requirements.
A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
