Oxford LowPro 12/8 Trench Cover Infill (Short Side)
Product Description
Oxford LowPro 12/8 Trench Cover Infill (Short Side)
The LowPro 12/8 Trench Cover is a very versatile product that is easy to transport, store and install. It is Hi-Vis and anti-trip and safely covers holes and trenches up to 700mm, creating a safe passageway for pedestrians, wheelchairs/pushchairs and vehicles (not for use on roadways).
The 12/8 LowPro has Flexi-Edges that create a durable protective barrier for the trench cover, but to prevent drifting, infill connector strips can be used; these remove the recess between covers when two or more are used. The infills create a flat, anti-trip surface to the cover. The short infill is suitable for narrow trenches where the LowPro cover is installed in a landscape format.
Each trench cover infill measures 800mm x 150mm and is made from PVC. The LowPro Infill is supplied with a Connector Plate and Bolts (M10 x 20 hex head flanged bolt with a zinc yellow coating).
Installation of the Infills is relatively simple (see Installation Guide in the Downloads section for visuals)
- Unscrew the plate and bolts at each end of the Infill
- Insert the plate underneath the LowPro through the bolt hole
- Insert the second plate in the bolt hole on the long or short side
- Place the LowPro with the plates centred over the width of the trench
- Place the next LowPro in line with the first over the Infill plate
- Ensure the LowPro is sitting on the plate at both ends
- Place the Infill between the LowPros and secure with 2 bolts at either end
- Continue placing LowPros over the trench and attaching infill until the trench is fully covered
First Fence has a full range of road and trench covers for making service work safer; why not take a look?
