The Hinged Parking Post – 696mm Above Ground is a durable, easy-to-use access control solution designed to protect private driveways, commercial premises, and restricted parking areas. Constructed from 60mm Circular Hollow Section (CHS) mild steel, the post is hot-dip galvanised to ISO 1461, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and long service life, even when exposed to the elements. This galvanised coating provides a strong, weatherproof finish that stands up to daily use, making the post ideal for both residential and commercial outdoor environments.

The post stands 696mm above ground when raised, providing clear visibility and a physical barrier to deter unauthorised entry. When access is needed, it folds neatly down via a hinged base, lying flat against the surface without causing damage to itself or surrounding paving. This smooth folding action makes it particularly suitable for driveways or forecourts that require regular vehicle movement.

At the heart of the design is a spring-loaded lock barrel, offering dependable security and ease of operation. The mechanism is specifically engineered for outdoor use, providing resistance against dirt, dust, and moisture. To lock the post, simply raise it into position and push the barrel down — the spring mechanism clicks securely into place. To unlock, insert one of the supplied keys and rotate to release.

Each unit is supplied with two keys as standard, and can be specified keyed alike (for multiple posts using one key) or keyed to differ (each post with a unique key) to suit site requirements.

A high-visibility reflective label is applied to the front of the post, ensuring it remains easily seen by drivers and pedestrians, even in low-light conditions. This added visibility helps reduce the risk of accidental collisions, making it both a safe and practical solution for busy or dimly lit environments.
