First Fence presents the EnviroRail® Flat Top Gate series, meticulously designed to complement the elegance of the EnviroRail® Flat Top Railings. Flat Top Railings, also known as flat handrails or flat bar railings, offer a modern railing system suitable for many different types of location. Recognised for their horizontally-oriented top surface, these railings have a very contemporary design. Beyond its ornate appearance, this product functions as a reliable barrier, finding versatile applications in parks, schools, commercial, and residential areas, providing security to public spaces while maintaining an inviting atmosphere.
Within the EnviroRail® collection offered by First Fence, you'll find gate and railing panel kits. Our gates are available in single and double leaf designs and are offered in a range of polyester powder-coated colours.
Features and Benefits
The EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing, although resembling a standard bay, employs an environmentally conscious construction technique through a low-weld approach. This method utilises custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised components that form robust connections when pressed together, eliminating the necessity for energy-intensive welding processes. This eco-friendly choice resonates with customers concerned about minimising environmental impact during production.
Manufactured from quality pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and coated with polyester powder, our gates ensure durability to withstand outdoor challenges.
EnviroRail® Gates present a fully modular, lightweight system equipped with various hardware for quick and easy installation. Universally handed, these gates offer on-site flexibility, enabling selection of the preferred leaf orientation. The modular functionality gives adjustability should the gates move, which fixed hardware doesn't give.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
Each gate comes with pre-drilled frame holes for easy installation of the three hinges and a drop bolt, should you choose one, accompanied by plastic hole plugs for unused holes to enhance appearance. Additionally, our security locks available from First Fence seamlessly fit onto the gate, while a locking drop bolt is also available, both can be added to your purchase.
The kit includes an EnviroRail® gate leaf, hinge, catch post, and three adjustable gate eyes, complying with BS 12604 safety guidelines. With three hinges, the gate remains secure even if one should, though unlikely, fail, preventing potential injury or damage. the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post for added security. These give a fixed axis hinges with no up or down movement.
Offered in various heights and widths, this gate kit provides both dig-in and bolt-down versions suitable for installation in diverse locations. The dig-in option suits softer ground like soil or grass, requiring Post Mix for post stability. Meanwhile, the bolt-down option suits harder ground and is secured using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts per post.
When installed correctly the gate will give up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post. The gates have 50mm ground clearance.
The modularity of this gate range means it is compatible with all our security locks, which are also available from First Fence. An anti-climb Locking Plate can also be added to this selection. Consider enhancing security further with a heavy-duty padlock.
